Let's face facts. The guy can't stay clean. If his life depended on it, he can't stay clean.

When Ronnie Brown has a 1 yard average come Ricky's eligibility... it won't change the fact that Ricky can't stay clean.

Whatever your bias's are, Ricky can't stay clean.

With that being said: Does the team set an example of forgiveness by allowing Ricky to return only to have him burn us, yet again, while in the mean time telling every player on this team that you can do whatever you want as long as you possess talent?

Or, do they kick him to the curb and set the example of no matter how talented you are, if you want a job here, you will earn it?

52 guys can't be held to one standard while 1 is allowed a free pass. You will never build a solid-devoted team that way.

I've thought about it for many hours and I know our running game is the worst in the league, but, to give Ricky the red carpet while everyone else is treated another way would not work for our immediate future nor in the long run.

Trust me, I know what Rick can do, but, the only way to establish order is by establishing order.

We love you Ricky. Go build the best damn Yoga gym in the US.

It seems the only time Miami has had any success lately is when he was in the backfield. Remember the time he came back with Satan and they went on a winning streak and Satan next year used Ricky by saying it all begins here and then the ad showed Saban running through the tunnel. Wasn't Ricky on the team when Miami was up by 11 in the final minutes of a NE game. This guy probably could have been the All-time rushing leader in NFL history if not for the hypocritical NFL rules that defy societies rules.
Look around the NFL and we have people like Ray Lewis who covered up murder information, Michael Irvin who was a coke dealer/coke head, and finally the NFL itself that allowed pain killers and encouraged it or looked the other way during the 70' and 80's to keep players playing. The NFL should concentrate on cleaning up it's image by cleaning up the trash of the league and making it a respectable sport that mirrors today's society and laws.
But then again we don't want more elected officials who take bribes, billionaires team owners who double dip and probably going to triple dip into the states hotel bed tax(taxpayers money).

Just what the Dolphins need...Another gangsta hood dope fiend who can't pass two consecutive drug tests. Yep, that'll draw the families out to watch the 'fins...

He should be in permanent rehab. Not on the "active list" occupying a spot that could be filled by someone who actually contributes to the team.

Ricky is a permanent liability. No one forced him to be so, he chose his own path. It's just sad. What a waste of talent and other people's time.

I'm sure theres more to it than just the Dolphins wanting or not wanting the druggie.. He still is under contract till 08 .. I'm sure theres legal issues involved there .. Like if the Dolphins don't put him back in .. will they be obligated to pay him or release him ? And if thats the case you may see him back on the roster to make fools out of the Dolphins again or see him on another team till he gets some cash together and goes to smoke his dope on the mountain top .. I really think the NFL are the fools here ... Williams the 4 times caught looser should have been banned after 3 .. It's great the NFL and society believes in rehab .. But Williams is just playing the system ..
So the bottom line may be .. seeing little Rickey out on the Dolphins field running for his bag of dope OR on another teams field ..
And as desperate as the Dolphins are for a win ..Big Wayne has already back off on his rookies in camp hard line stance .. And I'll bet the Cam Moron will be off his hard line too so Williams can run for the dope in Miami

take him back, let him play, show he's got something left, then trade him for a # 3 or 4 draft pick. just letting him go without compinsation is stupid, but thats what i expect the finns to do as usual.

We will do just fine without you, Ricky. So now go out there and mow your grass instead of smoking it. Do that for a couple more years and perhaps the Dolphins will reconsider.

I believe that in order to get reinstated Ricky has to have passed drug tests for an extended period of time. He has passed these tests several times. I also believe that he has been one of the most exciting football players in the league and the NFL missed having Ricky to bash around last year.
Living in New England I know that many Pats fans do not want to see Ricky with a ball in his hands. Any carries Ricky gets extends the career of Ronnie Brown. I want to see Ricky Williams running the ball, preferably in a Miami uniform.
Last: DON'T THROW RICKY IN WITH MICHAEL VICK.

It's simple, you don't count on him, but you still use him. Look at what we are talking about here! The fact that he's working so hard to get back on the field proves that he's earned it.

Its an adiction, and he has finally got it under control. That doesn't that mean he won't ever do it again...but he has earned his right to play again, the dolphins would be foolish to not use the opportunity to improve the team.

Not even a possibility.I wish that the media would let this one go.Ronnie had a 1000 yrd season with out him.Thats just fine and further more this guy had his chance to come back clean and did not. This is not the type of team that cam is putting together. We will all soon see if character matters to this guy.The time will be soon to see what this coach will do.hopefully he will make the right choice and we can all exercise this demon that is haunting this team.We will win the dallas game and people will see we will be just fine without Ricky.HELL YEAH GO FINS!!!

These posts indicate how desperate the Dolfans really are. How 'bout OJ? I'll bet he can help your backfield. After all, he was aquitted. Awe shucks, he just robbed someone in Vegas. Why don't the Dolphins focus on landing a first round pick that will actually help them rather than wishing and hoping that there past criminals will get reinstated.

Look at teams like NE is cheating by viedo tapping oponents play.

The nation consider NE as the best team in the NFL.(THEY CHEAT)
No INTEGRITY,,,
If RICKY comes back to the Dolphins (considered as one of the worst team)
What difference will that may...
The whole objective of the NFL is to win.
I was dissapointed with Ricky for the last 3 years but give the man a break.
The Dolphin should take Ricky back, The League is made up of "all inocent players" get real CAM and MULLER.

Say, Cam, who (or what) did Ricky injure in any way?
He's the best you've got. Or trade him to the Jets
so I can finally say goodbye to this miserable franchise.
This has been like a pact with the devil. Let's see,
You want a perfect season? Fine, but it comes with
a little price......

Ricky has paid is dept to society. One yr suspension. Now let him play football, for another team. I think the Dolfans have had enough of "smoken" Ricky. And this is not a bias, its a preference. Id prefer to have Ricky play elswhere. Trade him for OL help.
