Nick Perry Making Transition To Outside Linebacker, But Which Side?

May 13, 2012 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: Acme Packing Company

Nick Perry hadn't yet signed his contract when he talked to reporters prior to his first practice in a Green Bay Packers , but for reasons that became very obvious a couple of hours later, he was ready to get on the practice field and begin his transition to outside linebacker.

It might be interesting to see the damage that Clay will do rushing from most QBs blind side.

With the drafting of Perry, Worthy and Manning and when Hargrove returns to the field don't you think Dom Capers will be able to put together some different schemes and packages to get the pass rush thatt was lacking last season? Clay coming from the blind side would put a lot of pressure on the QB. This draft made the defense a lot quicker and I think a lot more physical. The competition in training camp should be very strong. Looking forward to the developement of what should be an improved defense.

The most exciting thing about the upcoming season IMHO will be the variety of defensive packages that Capers may put together. I imagine he will be able to do some really interesting stuff.

I agree. I felt that the Packer defense was limited in what they were able to do. This new influx of players should make it nteresting in what Capers can do. It still comes down to the players performing and we should see an upgrade defensively this season. If this happens it could be an interesting season.

Even if it doesn't happen we will still destroy every team in the division.
