Ex- Minnesota Viking Erasmus James pleads not guilty to charges...

A not-guilty plea was entered for former Minnesota Vikings defensive end Erasmus James, who's charged with felony battery and misdemeanor disorderly conduct in a Madison bar fight.

Supposedly, his friend was wearing a Brett Favre jersey, and James just snapped. Apparently, he just wanted to know what it felt like to finally hit an NFL quarterback, since he never actually did it in the NFL.

Deimitruis Underwood and Erasmus James among other first round DE busts makes the trade for Jared Allen for a #1 and two #3's look like a steal. I'll take the proven player over potential any day.

Don't forget, the Vikes also used the 6th round pick given back to them from KC in that trade to draft their new starting center, John Sullivan. Aside from the botched snap on the Steelers game, he's been very solid since week 3.

Good point. Wonder where those deadskin fans are that were posting after the trade about how they would make James into a star. I'll give Chilly some credit here, he took two first round busts drafted by the previous staff in Troy Williamson and James and at least got something out of it instead of out right releasing, and his drafts and free agents aquisitions have been solid for the most part.
