I was at the game. The ground and pound was again awsome.

Playing with discipline, not beating themselves. If Billick could have achieved that he could have another SB ring or two.
For years it has been true that all the Ravens needed was a middle of the road, moderately competent NFL offense to go with their excellent defense and they could win plenty. Billick achieved that only once, and then fired the QB.
It's looking like they may finally be putting that together again.
Pretty amazing what you can do when you just stop continually shooting yourself in the foot isn't it?

I'd like to know people's opinions on Flacco today.

I'm confused. Anderson was nothing great this game. But if the Ravens' defense is playing great football, drilling guys, sacking the QB & and the Browns receivers are alligator-arming, how can you say that Anderson was th scape-goat. Brady Quinn would have cr*pped his pants the 2nd 1/2.

The eagles beat up big ben today, wait till the ravens defense whips up on big ben next week. Flacco and rest of offense looked good for having week off. The tough schedule will only toughen up the ravens. This could be a year of upsets.

Flacco was average at best and given that is still 100's of times better than Boller was as a rookie. He has great pocket presence. He has a monster arm and a very quick release. He does not seem to get rattled. Baring major injury, he will be the best QB to play in a Ravens uniform before it is all said and done. The sky is the limit for this guy if he stays healthy and they keep a good line in front of him.

What is UP with Braylon Edwards? I sincerely hope that he is injured because he looked weak.

I'm loving this Ravens team, btw. For the first time in a lot of years, they are fun to watch even when the offense is on the field!

What did happen to Figurs? Leonhard did a good job in his place but I didn't hear that Figurs was going to be out.

Did not see the 2nd half. Appears that Cameron took the ball out of Flacco's hands after the 2 ints. Right?

Steelers, next week, are the real test.

Joe 'Cool' Flacco regressed a bit. Great pocket presence though. As long as we can run, and hit short passes with a strong D, he'll be fine.

Like any rookie he was inconsistant but there is no doubt he has a rocket for an arm. With a little more game experience he will be able to go through the progressions faster and get rid of the ball before the defenders close in on his receivers. All in all he wasn't bad today.

FWIW (probably not much)

The first pick was on Joe - he had a receiver wide open on the right - he just didn't go through the progression.
I thought the second pick was due to bad play calling - throwback pass.

I think it's ironic that Joe Flacco now has tons more NFL experience than "The Mighty Quinn"

"With 10 minutes left in the first quarter and the Ravens running the no-huddle offense, the referees stopped the game and allowed the Browns to make a substitution."

I was furious at this. How many times have the refs stopped the game when the other team was running no huddle against the Ravens?- NEVER

It was the same crew that cost the Chargers a game last week.

Were you at the game...really???? Wow, you must have such great insight sitting a couple hundred feet from the plays, meanwhile most of us had to settle for close up camera shots of the action. Shut up loser.
