I bet if Heap saw his prophet Joseph Smith in the endzone, he'd run through the best NFL lienman and defensive backs unscathed just to get to him. He'd do that now injured.

The Ravens can deny it until they move away, but until they get innovative play calling from coaches who are not afraid to take chances, they are going nowhere! Tom Brady would SUCK in this system.5 and 11 at best!!!

Heap is a wuss. Since 2001 he has missed more games then Steve McNair...and in 2001 McNair had been in the NFL 427 years already.

Poor Heap. After all the football he's played he never learned how to take a hit. Ever since he came into the league he has taken the hardest hits almost every time he gets the football. Get rid of the lot. Including Odgen, Scott, Lewis, the rest of the offensive line (save Grubbs and the nose guy), McAlister, Rolle, all the QB's, Brian Billick and the G,M. who brought all the thugs in. Then maybe in 2 years we may have a real football team.

Maybe if Billick ran a tougher camp these guys would be in better playing shape !!

Heap is one of the best set of hands on this team and one of the hardest working players. You Heap haters are a bunch of fools. If thats how you feel about one of the better men on that club you deserve a losing football team.

Finally, a sensible poster. Hamstring injuries are notoriously slow to heal, and those who think stretching it out is the answer probably have never had that type of injury, or they would know that in it's acute stages, stretching will only aggravate such an injury. Sheesh! You guys should give Heap the benefit of the doubt. If he'd could be out there he'd play. And the fools who make fun of Heap's religion now that he's hurt are showing an obvious lack of decent upbringing.

I've never been ashamed to be a Ravens fan until reading these posts. You guys make me sick. Todd Heap has been a warrior for this team...do you remember the winning TD against SD last year? The won were he went up against 3 defenders and bowled them over and stretched out putting the ball across the goalline.

I'm fine w/ fans criticizing the team...hell I say fire Billick and get rid of McNair, but when you start attacking players who have busted their ass for this team...you need to go route for Pittsburgh.

And what the f*ck does his religious background have to do w/ anything GHT, you're a moron.

Todd Heap is our leading receiver and runs routes that take him right across the middle underneath. That means he's going to take punishment. If you look both him and Wilcox are out. So I guess maybe it's just a conspiracy that our TEs don't want to play this season. Or maybe it's b/c of our dink and dunk 3/4 yard gain offense this year where people are getting creamed from McNair's weak a** arm.

I'm ashamed that these are fellow Ravens fans on here bashing one of the guys w/ the most heart on this team. HERE'S A SUGGESTION: IF YOU'RE SOMEONE WHO'S OPINION IT IS TO "TRADE 'EM ALL" THEN WHY DON'T YOU MAKE IT EASY ON YOURSELF AND ROOT FOR ANOTHER TEAM. I HEAR THE PATS ARE GOOD THIS YEAR GO JUMP ON THEIR BANDWAGON 'CAUSE YOU'RE MAKING ME SICK!!

My point was a jab dude. Quite frankly, Quinn Sypniewski looks like a clone of Heap and did quite well today. I can see him taking his place real fast in the lineup if he doesn't start praying to Joseph Smith for some healing.

Religion does play a part. It has been reported that Heap is opposed to pain killers because of his Mormon beliefs. That is respectable and whatnot, but he is a football player on a team that desperately needed him. Don't demand a big time contract if you cant tough it out for big time games. If he suited up and just served as a decoy, he would have made other defenses at least consider him, which might have opened things up for Boller and McGahee. He's a puss in my opinion.

His religion can become part of the conversation without disrespecting it and Heap in such a childish manner.

RavensFan, you are not the one being childish, I was responding to your take on the (reported) fact that Heap doesn't take pain medication because of his religion.
