As a Jets fan you should care what the Jets players said about Favre or what they did not say about him. If they did not hate him (as they do) then they would be saying over and over again "Favre gives us the best chance of winning so we need him back". Does that make sense to you Favre loving fools? The players all of them know that Favre is done, finished, old and washed up so why can't some of you understand that? The players don't want Favre back !! Sure they have "unfinished business" as one fool posted one of the players said but that does not mean they need Favre back on the team to finish it. There is no support for Favre, NONE, one or two players saying that they had "unfinished
business" means nothing. The players want to win but they know in there hearts Favre is cooked like a well done turkey.
no frank. b/c they all play for the same team. the union. i NEVER listen to what they say in the press. ever. it's all BS

I am starting to think that there are a lot of imposters on these boards pretending that they are Jets fans wanting Favre back. I don't personally know of one Jets fan who wants him back but there are a few fools here who do and I don't believe they are all Jets fans but they are pretending they are.
they're girls! whatya expect?

If you are talking about baseball then you are right but with football many of them crossed the picket lines when there was a strike and that football union is not strong otherwise they would have the same thing that the baseball players union has full free agency and no salary cap. The fact that Favre will get 13 million dollars this year should make the players want him to come back so that just makes my point that they don't want him back. Football players like guys and don't like guys based on how well they will perform. If they think the guy will get them to the Superbowl then they will love him and want him back because they will all make a lot more money in endorsements and with everything. The Jets players don't want Favre back and if you want to talk about some union nonsense as being the cause or what they say or not say then you are an idiot.

If Ryan has the defense playing as he wants them to then Chad would be an asset too.
I think that the playoffs proved something else. ON the elite defenses that make the playoffs, the safeties just play centerfield and have time to get to Chad's soft tosses anywhere within hash marks.

Ok, so every single athlete is a liar
whenever they say something to the media? You can't believe anything they say at anytime about anything.
Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. And you talk about who is being an idiot?

A. you called me an idiot FIRST. scroll up.
2. you're completely missing my point about listening to what athletes say in the media. scroll back and maybe you can grasp the point. i made myself perfectly clear.
3. i don't listen to what athletes say. i've been around long enough to finally have said, it has no meaning. you honestly think they say worthwhile stuff, especially about things they have zero control over? you must be joking. please prove where i am wrong on this example

I am too young to remember the days of Namath, so I haven't felt attached or impressed by the Jets, ever. But I do remember Buddy Ryan from the Oiler days and if you need discipline and a coach who will get in your players' faces, Ryan is the right choice.
I doubt Favre needs it, but I could be wrong.
On the other hand, if a rookie QB or lesser known guy replaces Favre, it could be a bad choice.
As for the Ryan in question, I don't think he would be quite like his dad. He probably has better rapport with the players but still determined and hard-nosed.
Good luck Jets.
