Full story: Baltimore Sun

If the Ravens are as resilient as they've been all season, they will make the playoffs.

All low scoring games have questionable officiating. It is built into the game. Sometimes a 9-6 game is a sheer dog of a contest played by two inept teams usually in poor weather conditions.

But not yesterday. It was great football. For the most part, the refs let the two teams slug it out without calling pass interference or holding penalties. I thought the ravens caught a number of breaks with Adam Terry holding James Harrison, and Fabian Washington and Samari Rolle making illegal contact.

With a minimum of points the "scores" become the individual "plays" that make or break your chance to win. In a high scoring game, you can easily hide behind the scoreboard and miss the subtleties in the officiating.

The turnover battle was even, ravens won the field position battle, but pittsburgh was able to muster one more play - so they won. Total yardage was even before that last drive. Suggs got injured. Washington got injured. Reed slipped on a 3-10 pass to Nate Washington. Just untimely bad breaks.

No one talks about officiating in a 39-36 game. Here is hoping the ravens can build off their good performance and beat Dallas. Also, as a #6 seed, they might meet #1 pittsburgh in the divisional round. Winning Round 3 would certainly make up for losing Rounds 1 and 2.

More on Dallas: Remember when Yankee Stadium closed? They scheduled the Orioles and they lost 7-3. It was a sideshow. So the NFL stadium equivalent - Texas Stadium - will get equal pagentry, but I'm guessing the ravens won't be a sideshow, actually they should be the more focused team. Its time to spoil the party.

You forgot to mention the three times the play clock expired clearly on Big Ben but it was not called. The officials were bad on both sides of the ball.

Its time to start rotating the younger linebacker...to get them ready to take over.. the defence looked tired...were on the field too long...Next season...big time receiver...like the size of T.O..Get rid of McGahee...fumbles...drop pass's...can't run..can't block...

I think they have the ability to bounce back, I just hope they come out mad as hell instead of emotionally drained from this loss. Dallas has bounced back but still vulnerable, especially since Romo typically does not play well in December.

I love the Stealer tards who live on this board. Your obsession with the Ravens (the team you fear most) is duly noted. Not to mention the fact that all these Stealer fans in Maryland and Virginia are nothing more than bandwagoners and the children of bandwagoners who jumped on the Stillers in the '80's. In other words...pathetic.

What is really pathetic is four teams at 9-5 and two get to watch the playoffs on TV...one choke away for the Ravens.

Defense was tired because of all the 3-outs by the offense.

Ravens have to 6-7 point dogs this Saturday night. Any team with a commanding air attack is trouble for Baltimore. Have to go with the head and not the heart...give the points and bet the farm.

Hey- the whole town had the Ravens 6-10 before the first game- nobody who knows football saw them as a factor. Stay healthy and hope for a fast start next year

So Do They Think 3 field goals will beat Dallas or will they actualy try to score touchdowns when they're in the opponents territory.....hey I understand.....its not like they have a 40 millon $ first round 18th pick franchise quarterback who can actually make a play.

I am a diehard Ravens fan and i root for them all the way over here in the middle east. Eventhough they lost, they are still a verygood football team. The offense played poorly and the defense played great until that last drive. Sometimes conservative play can be your friend as well as boaring. Example: When it's the 4th quarter and your on the opponents 32 and it's 3rd and 6. Why Why Why ? would you go to shotgun formation. That clearly is bad against a team that blitz's as much as we do. They should have kept to the ground game and got the sure field goal. Instead Flacco got sacked and fumbled and we were out of field goal range. Momentum is everything in the NFL. I'M WILLING TO BETT EVERYTHING, THAT WE BOUNCE BACK STRONG AND CLEAN DALLAS'S CLOCK IN THEIR STADIUM WITH A FULL HOUSE. ROMO will not be able to throw the football on his back !

The Ravens 'have problems' against any team who passes well. Having 'problems' means we give up crushing TD's early in the game and are playing catch up from the first quarter on. If Romo is healthy enough we are in trouble. Sunday night he appeared to have had a back or rib injury. Maybe this will put a hitch in his passes and if we get to him early with pressure and sacks maybe he gets relaced. Otherwise I see another loss though not as bad as Indy or the Giants.

if that comes true, there's only one thing ... WE weren't picked to go, WE were picked to go 4-12 and WE might go 11-5 ... hmmmmm
