Actually, I thought this was a good article and very fair. Much better written then the stuff we have to read through every day. Maybe the Sun would be better off if it had more writers like this.

Six in a row at M&T. That sounds real good. By far steelers fans are the most obnoxious. I will greatly enjoy mocking them during the game. The nice thing about Ravens v steelers games... it is never cold and never boring. Anyone who sells their tickets to a steelers fan should have their season tickets revoked.

i dont think there defense is better than ours this year, let alone the 2000 season. statement game for the ravens. the defense was on fire last week and seemed to have turned it up a notch with the blitz. these boys are hungry. our banged up secondary has impressed the hell out me all year. theyll do it again sunday.

numbers show everything no team has had 300 yards against the steelers defense in any game this year. that is consistency, ravens are a good defense but the steelers defense has shown up everygame, the ravens cant say the same, thats why they are a better defense

unfortunatly I think this week it is the Steelers 24 Ravens 15.Again I hope I am wrong, but for some reason it looks to me like this is the Steelers year, and I think the Rsvens have a year or 2 before this team starts to reach it's full potential. Again, I hope I am wrong and the Ravens take it to the Steelers. Prove me wrong boys, kick the Steelers hind parts!!!

well put dude. I think both Ds are outstanding. the biggest difference is the steelers are more disciplined hence they are more consistent. The ravens D runs on emotion and has to get all psyched up (one of the reason they play better at home). Look at what happened last game with penalties due to be too keyed up. the problem with running on emotion is what goes up can also go down. a perfect example is last seasons pats v ravens game. once the coach called that dumb timeout the wind left the Ds sails and they had nothing left. the rest is history. that's nature. the steelers, on the other hand, are all about ice cold efficiency. they play lights out, disciplined defense. That's why they're number one.

Oh STFU, 2-0 you moron don't think both teams will bite and claw each other til the last man stand? Get over the Rashard Mendenhall I don't recall his name every being brought up when the Ravens stated the Hines will have an "X" on his back. NFL teams play to win and they get paid to hit fool and things will happen are you to state that the reason why Ed Reed's neck is hurting because of all the punishment from H. Ward, NO moron it's from years of punishment.

Go write about the Dolphins in our Aquarium.

I agree that both team have an outstanding "D" no dault about it but if you're talking about the penalty that wasn't there like the hit to the head of Big Ben from Suggs that still to this day is a bogus call.

Who cares how our "D" plays they're rank 2nd for a reason just like your Steelers being rank 1st.

Come Sunday there can only be one king on top of this mountain so may the best team win.

GO RAVENS!

i was talking about the hay seed lineman who fouled ward out of bounds and drew a crucial 15 yarder. I think he was 90 something. named JJ or something I can't remember.

I think this is a great article, sure he picks the steelers, but what do you expect? he writes for the pittsburgh papers! Bottom line though, he's right on, this is going to be a knock down drag out fight to the end. I actually think these teams will put some more points on the board then 6-3 or 2-0....17-14 or 21-17 sounds more likely to me.

Here's what we know, both teams have great D's....i think the fact that the steelers D has been so consistent (no QB over 240 yrds, no total offence over 300 yards all season) gives them an edge. However, despite their offensive short comings of the last decade or so, this baltimore offense is really coming around. Flacco is for real and with the solid route running of Mason and the deep threat of Clayton I think they match up really well with the Roethlisberger/Ward/Holmes combo in Pittsburgh.

Here's the 2 keys to the game that I see. 1. The abilities of the D's to generate turn-overs in scoring position/score points themselves.
2. The abilities of the teams to extend drives by gaining the tough yards on thrid and 2 or fourth and 1.

I actually see the Ravens having a slight edge in the short yardage situation, pittsburgh has been one of the worst teams in the league on downs with 2 or less yards to go, and the worst in the league on 4th down. McLain is a big back, and while i don't expect either team to run the ball efectively he's proved that he can pick up the tough yards much more effectively than any of the steelers backs have.

If i'm betting on this game I'm taking the steelers, but only because of the points ... this one will be too close to call!

However, even if the Ravens pull out the W, Steelers will roll over the Titans and the Brownies and win the divison once again...maybe next year ravens....

Here's the difference: no matter how badly or well the first few quarters go, Big Ben gets red hot with the game on the line. He has an amazing 125 rating in late-game pressure situations! So those who talk about the Steeler offense, it's about to wake up and explode! Steelers 31 Ravens 10 (only 'cause Reed runs another one back for a TD).

correct. a questionable personal foul call on jarrett johnson number 95 changed the momentum of the game.

and also for the record, suggs was called for a phantom blow to the helmet on kerry collins against the titans

i saw the replay of that and it was totally bogus. they really need to consider adding skirts to the QBs
