I wish Rex would ease back on the blitzing myself but I think the reason my he does it, is because the front four can't get pressure on their own. The superbowl D could, that's why they were so successful!
I disagree with your assessment about why Rex blitz so much. I think that you have to have a great covering secondary if you intend to run Rex's defense which calls for so much blitzing. Also, it doesen't hurt if the blitzer actually get there in time to break up the play. Keep in mind that no one seemed to have a problem when Rex ran the same defense and everything was working on all cylinders.

who cares about ocho cinco. It said that Ed Reed could miss the entire season for a nerve in his neck. How sissy are players now a days. Just proves players already don't believe in this season.
Go get a pinch in your neck, then play a game of tackle football, on the devensive side of course.

Maybe you should read a little more into Reed's injury! Its a very serious matter, if he has surgery he possible would never play again! Reed is a very tough player!

ESPN showed Chad practicing with his brace. It didn't look like he could lift his hands over his head. That should make it easier for our corners to cover TJ.

I don't have a problem with it, I just wish it was a little more balanced. This is pretty much the same secondary when it was working. The problem is that teams are keeping more players into block therefore the blitzers are not getting to where they need to be. Like i said though, if your front 4 can get pressure themselves you don't need to blitz so much. Perfect example is the Giants, last year of course.

I FREAKING LOVE CHAD JOHNSON, he is great for football, and maybe just maybe, our secondary will play like PROFESSIONALS should and stop getting torched by Chad and TJ all the dam time. and if Rex doesn't design a gameplan other than blitz blitz then blitz, he should be FIRED!

he's right, Bart scott should keep his mouth shut and stop making arm tackles and just hit the guy and play better coverage on passing plays.

Landry is always playing the box forgetting he is NOT a LB but a SAFETY, I remember him trying to catch up to Chad last season after being faked out on a PA pass. Landry, YOU ARE A SAFETY you dumb jerk, PLAY LIKE ONE, and we have top notch LB's already kid, you don't need to have your stupid azz in the box anyway!

Chapped Johnsin (Alberto Vio Cinco) has a way of delivering with his boasts. No doubt the Ravens will try to take him out. That leaves 2 other very good WR open and that scares me. TJH is a great open filed guy and 'Handcuffs'Henry can take a licking and come up flapping his gums too.

The Ravens need to pressure CP and mix it up defensively. Agreed tha Rex sends to many blitzes on 3rd and long. Maybe he has learned from the films and will show a new approach. Winning this game at home is a must for the Ravens given their schedule and injuries. The secondary will have to play big if we are to have a chance to win it in the late 4th quasrter.

Prediction: Bengals 24 Ravens 16.

I think when it comes down to it if Bart and Johnson met to see who could smash who's mouth, I think everyone knows would would come out on top in that one.

Handcuffs Henry isn't playing on Sunday, he's suspended.

The Ravens haven't matched up well with the Bengals since 2004. I'm not too sure what to expect on Sunday because I don't think the Bengals are that much better/worse than the Ravens.

Glad football season is back, though.

Like him or not, I think Chad Johnson is good for football. Every sport needs a Chad Johnson. And he can play. I would take him in Baltimore in a second. It would be funny, though, if the Bengals changed his number just to screw with him!
Agreed - I love it. Any visiting player that would jump into the "dog pound" in Cleveland after a touchdown ... gots to be crazy !!

I swear this is the exact same thing Johnson said last year.

You realize this is all hype and he doesn't mean one word he says, right?!

Chad's no tough guy. If you's a player on defense and you take anything he says seriosly you've already been beaten.
