Anwar Phillips is a good player, has size and can cover, the guy should get a chance on the active roster. I'm surprised some other teams haven't grabbed him.

Here's why anyone who doesn't like Hines Ward isn't a real football fan... it's from today's NY Post, commenting on all the hot-dog prima donna WRs playing today. Enjoy!

Quote:
"Pittsburgh's Hines Ward is among the very best - and most underrated - receivers in history. He catches and blocks. He might be responsible for as many yards as a downfield blocker as he is as a pass-catcher. Now 32, he became the Steelers' all-time leading receiver at 29!

But TV would have us think of Moss, and Terrell Owens and Chad Johnson and Burress - stage hogs - as the best of the best.

TV could do so much better, every week, every game. As for now, if only Ward had played like a selfish jerk he wouldn't be terribly underrated; he'd be overrated."

Hines Ward rocks! We should all be grateful this guy is playing.

That is quite the agrument there. Hines Ward being better than Terrell Owens. Who knew? I think whoever wrote that article needs to stop drinking on the job. Owens is a terrific downfield blocker. I don't dislike Ward either, but he couldn't even hold Owens' jock strap.

Are you f*ckin kidding me?!?! Hines Ward is a known cheap shot artist. Did you watch the Monday night game?!?! Every single huge block he has is on an unsuspecting opponent. F*ck that shit. He's a very good WR, but he doesn't deserve any respect for his classless style of play. He's right up there with Rodney Harrison as the dirtiest players in the league. And why are you Steelers' fans still here?!?! We've been done with you.

If Hines Ward were a Raven we'd all love him. Us hating him so much just shows how good he really is. It's like Bill Romanowski...you hated playing him, but loved having him on your team.

Seriously, do you have a mental disability? How old are you? Are yuo currently in a mental institution of some kind? Either you are really dumb or just like to get a rise out of people. I feel bad for your kids if you have any.

Bill Romanowski was a 'roid raging a-hole who played dirty enough to never be the type of player I'd cheer for -- whether he was on my team or not -- or want my children to look up to as an example of how to play the game.

I'd cheer for him. He made the other team dread games against him. Offensive players were always aware of where he was on the field...out of fear.

Actually Mr. Bill injured a teammate in practice once by blindsiding him with a punch. The guy sued Ole Bill and got a settlement. Look it up. Bill's such a great teammate huh?

FireTrembley is just being honest.

If Ward played for Baltimore, I GUARANTEE he'd be the town's fan favorite.

First off the guy spit in his face. Then Bill clocked him. No blindsiding there. Maybe read up on a story before you talk about it. If you're dumb enough to spit in Romo's face you deserve to get your orbital bone broken.

I was thinking the same thing myself. Phillips looked good in the pre-season; I was surprised when the Ravens cut him; I'm glad to see him back, even if it's only on the PS -- for now, anyway.
