I'd love to see Drew come back but I respect that he wants to get on with the next part of his life--the nfl has lost alot though--Sunday will never be the same--the nfl needs more like him--even Tom Brady has been tarnished--not a good role model anymore for young kids

One word describes Bledsoe, CLASS. From his days as a top recruit out of Walla Walla, to the days he was all over ESPN as the number one pick over Mirer, and throughout his entire NFL career, Drew Bledsoe has been nothing but CLASS. It all begins with his family! Wonderful parents and supporting brother. All the attention NEVER went to his head. With all of the knuckleheads throughout sports, it is nice to see another great man like Drew Bledsoe bow out with CLASS. My only problem is now I have no NFL team to pull for this season. Drew is the BEST!!!!!

Yes, Drew was a class act in many ways. However, much of his downfall was his own laziness. In the off season, many elite players work hard on addressing their weaknesses. Drew never did that. There are lots of ways to train athletes to be more nimble on their feet - including dancing, believe it or not. But Drew just out and out refused to work in the off season. Because of that, every year he became more lead-footed. It was sad to see, because he was a really nice guy with a hell of an arm - but he was also a pretty darned lazy guy too.

Bledsoe would stay in the pocket, just like Grogan but had a better line with Hannah and Gray blocking for few years anyway.Bledsoe is a inside the pocket QB, you can't change him into a vick.

Brady and belicek both screwed bledsoe,he was never given a chance to get his job back after his injury.Brady did the same thing in college. This has prevented bledsoe to continue a great career. He should still be playing football, and setting more records.Ihope he can forgive those people who hurt him so badly.Watching him play was so exciting.By the way I do not watch the patriots an longer.Drew bledsoe is the most enjoyable quarterback i have ever seen, the long ball was his best

Best game I ever saw was Fins vs Patriots @ Joe Robby Stadium.

I think half a dozen NFL records were set in one game. It was as all out shooting match.

My favorite game was the infamous "Vikings" game in 1994. down 20-0 Bledsoe dorve them for a fieldgoal just before half. Then came out in the second half and played no huddle 2 minute offense the entire half and won the game 26-20 in overtime.

Bledsoe set the NFL single game records for pass attempts (70) and pass completions (45) that still remain intact today!

Bledsoe could be playing now if he wanted too. There have been several articles revealign that teams have contacted Bledsoe to return this year and be their QB.

Had he chose to play another 2-3 years he would have set a TON more all-time career records.

Bledsoe will always be "my" QB and I am thankful to have many great games on VHS and converting them to DVD to watch again in the future.

He was and probably still is good. But I hated him as he always gave my Fish a run! But he is also very well spoken. It's time to loose Shannon Sharpe and put in Bledsoe!

Carolina could have used him. He is way better than Vinny Interceptaverde.

You could say Bledsoe was Marino Jr.
I had Dolphins season tickets for 13 years, and one of the most memorable games for me was the season opener against the Patsies in Marino's first game back after tearing his Achilles' tendon. What a shootout that was! I think both QBs threw for about 400 yards with Marino getting the last laugh by heaving a bomb to Irving Fryar in the waning seconds.
I agree, i was at that game and that was my favorite dolphin game ever, it was a classic shootout between two outstanding competitors (although i am glad the right team won). I only wish bledsoe hadnt gotten hurt back when he did, if he had stayed healthy we probably wouldnt be having to see pretty boy every week up there in new england, now we have to endure the nfl's favorite qb boy and we have to watch as week after week the ref's call all the calls in favor of the patriots, its amazing how that works, the league wants certain matchups come playoff time NE vs IN for example so they do everything necessary to insure that happens..tonight was a perfect example, jabbar gaffney was moving that ball around in his hands that should not have been a touchdown but it was called one, they just want to push towards another new england/indy playoff game, o well, what are you going to do, thats the way it is.

The NFL is defeinitely "fixed." The league office (with help from the TV networks) has already decided this year's final four.

NFC: Green Bay @ Dallas
AFC: Indy @ New England

Both home teams will be awarded victory, giving us a SB42 matchup of Romo vs. Brady.

Championship will be given to Dallas because of nation-wide feeling of Patriot-fatigue and to keep Don Shula as the only "perfect" coach.

Yeah, the Pats sure made a mistake going with Brady!
