I woundn't blame him, he got punked. He took the blame for everything that went wrong and Romo looked like a hero, when honestly looked terrible. He needs to go to a team that believes in him and not listen to a drama queen like T.O.

Drew Bledsoe can still be a good QB in the NFL as long as he goes to a team with a good offensive line. Cowboys fans made Drew out to be the scapegoat for a team that had many holes, the QB was not the only problem as they would have you believe. Then Romo comes in plays a few good games and they send him to the Pro Bowl. The last time I checked the team still finished 9-7 which was the same record they had last year with Drew. I would like to see Drew end up in either Miami or Tampa where he could compete for the starting job.

For anyone to think that Drew Bledsoe can compete for a starting job anywhere in the NFL is just silly. I was upset when Parcells hired him, as his career as a starter was clearly already over. He would make a good backup if he would humble himself to that role, but he likely won't. Any team that makes him a starter will not win consistently, because he is not consistent ... and has not been for a very long time. The negative comparisons with Romo was justified, as Romo had the same line and the same coaches and yet ... even though a rookie prone to rookie mistakes, made Bledsoe look third string in comparison.

What games were you watching?! What an idiot! Bledsoe's career is clearly over?! It's bad enough listening to dumb people but when ignorant people post comments it really hits a nerve. Last year the Cowboys could have been 13 and 3 with a few made field goals and certainly should have been 10 and 6 had they not laid down the last game because they were eliminated from the playoffs.

you know what i love about romo fans every mistake he makes is because he is a ROOKIE, if any of his fans could count they would know he has been in the nfl for 4 years, last time i checked that means he hasnt been a rookie for 3 years. cowboys fans needed someone to blame for the crappy season they had and the only one they could blame was BLEDSOE. because he was the only one on the team who could take the blame like a man and not turn the rest of the season into a circus. just think what kinda mess dallas would have been in if the media and fans looked at the real problems OFFENSIVE LINE, T.O., TERRIBLE PLAY CALLING, OR RUNNING BACKS WHO COULDNT PICK UP A BLITZ IF THEIR CARRER DEPENDED ON IT. i am so happy that bledsoe wont be a cowboy next year because the media and fans will need to really look at the team and see whats wrong not just blame it on the one person who made that team a contender out of nothing. DREW IS GOING TO BE A STARTER NEXT YEAR AND ALL THE DOUBTS ABOUT HIM WILL BE FORGOTTEN.

Tony Romo beat 4 crappy teams. Made more mistakes in the last 5 games then any QB in the league> I would take Bledsoe over Romo anyday and next year Romo will be, at best, 8-8 with the Cowboys. You are just another fan to fall for a new qb with no film on him for the first few games. Romo was a good mid season story but he is what he is. There is no doubt that Parcells would have liked to gone with Bledsoe against Seattle but he already dug his grave...

I have one word for Bledsoe "STATUE" the man didn't know when to let go of the pigskin come on admit Romo could scramble a little bit and he will get better but it will never hurt to have a better back up if needed he will learn and will be the starter next season, but for Bledsoe he needs to go back up north like old ass vinny man they are both rated the same winning the game but for some reason throws a interception to lose a game but that is a nother topix. So peace out michelle in little town Oklahoma

I cannot beleive that very next season after they just paid Drew the biggest contact in NFL History, they just dump him, beacuse of a injury. He got ROBBED and i always will dislike the Patriots for not giving him a chance to win his job back and for NOT LETTING DREW PLAY A SINGLE PLAY IN THE SUPERBOWL HELPED MAKE POSSIBLE WITH THE TD AGAINST THE STEELERS IN THE AFC CHAMPIONSHIP,its just wrong.Every player should be given a chance to win his job back.Drew i hope you donot retire, you helped the Patriots make it to the Superbowl TWICE and pulled the Bills out of "THE BLACK HOLE" as stated by the Bills owner, and gave the Cowboys hope when they needed itI have followed Drew from team to team as a true fanDrew's work is not done

I have been a huge bledsoe fan since his later patriot days. i couldn't believe it when buffalo traded him when the team was clearly getting better by the minute. I think we all can agree on how losman worked out. i personally hope drew does retire. anywhere he goes, he will most likely not have a good line and probably not do that well (coming from a HUGE bledsoe fan). once he was benched in dallas, they became my most hated team and i still can't stand romo. everytime is see that mishandled snap, i just laugh my ass off. but i really hope drew just hangs it up, i think it's time.

What would you have done with 300 pound guys coming at your face from all directions? And as for your precious Romo, he didn't do anything special any other QB couldn't do with good pass protection. Sure he's younger and has more mobility but even Peyton Manning and Tom Brady couldn't do anything with the kind of protection he had. Also, who botched the most simplist job out there and single-handedly flushed their chances of going to the super bowl? That had nothing to do with Bledsoe, and not that I have to explain myself to you, I'm not from Catoosa, don't know why its up there, but you can take that little town and shove it up your ass..but that's another topix too. And by the way, Romo's very first pass was an interseption.

no matter if u love him or hate him ( and he is my favorite athlete of all time) u cant deny that he is a 1st ballot hall of famer and that he made 3 franchises into winning teams, patriots where 1-15 when they drafted him, the bills where 3-13 the year before they picked him up, and dallas was 6-10. no man can make a team great on his own but drew has made 3 teams contenders on his own. he is an icon who deserves respect. drew will be back next year and he will take team number four all the way. so dallas fans can bust one for romo but next year when he fails and drew takes his team all the way none of u can jump on the bledsoe bandwagon. enjoy your future grocery clerk. Listen here Michelle since u don't know were ur from don't hate on the cowboys or better yet tony plus the other QBs have mentioned have a better release than bledsoe, i mean don't get me wrong Bledsoe could throw a pass but only if it was the other team and the game was on the line,he would throw it to the defense, didn't u watch ur QB he was a threat but the threat was to the cowboys, and come on Tonys first pass was an interception but he made the tackle unlike bledsoe he would have run the other way , he is a STATUE admit it thats y TOM BRADY is who he is thanks to bledsoe, for holding the ball to long, and I can c the same road coming for Tony Romo!, u hold the ball for so long u get the bench for so long, and IDIOTS like u cheer for STATUES like him, so shove that up ur ASS!!!!!!!

i got to throw my hat in the ring on this.think about every year bledsoe has played between the line and some of the play calls and how many dropped passed.i'll will agree in saying yeah he can't move at all.but you look at the first year he was with the bills they spread out the o alot more making alot harder for anyone to blitz.like i said he's not perfect just like anyone in the nfl.think went he was with the pats.he never had a really good running back and he still made it work.take a look at how many other qbs played well with there teams then bang they get traded or signed with someone else.what happens different person calling the plays and and a different off.my basic point is to ask if bledsoe could still get a starting job somewhere.no question.it be interesting to see him go to the viks.thanks.jack

Unless you dedicate the entire offense to blocking defenders with big burly honchos while Drew Bledsoe stands forever in the pocket waiting for a receiver to get wide open... you probably wont want Drew Bledsoe for QB.

When Parcells made Tony Romo the starting QB, the coach staff cheered and said they could now open up the offensive playbook.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not a Tony Romo regular and have not jumped on the bandwagon for the half season wonderkind. The Cowboys search for the QB to take them back to greatness might not be over yet. It could be but Romo has a lot to prove still.

Bledsoe's days are done though. Every defensive coordinator knows that Bledsoe will stand stodgily in the pocket and wait for as long as it takes for a receiver to break free.

Just like every defensive coordinator knows that Jeff Garcia doesnt have but a few tosses deep downfield per game in his arm. The Eagles adjusted for it with their style of west coast offense though and Jeff garcia looked awesome in 2006 unlike his previous two stops.

If your team has a monster offense, huge FBs who can pass block and an RB that doesnt mind watching Bledsoe's blindside. You might have a chance with Drew. I'd rather see the Cowboys go a different direction for backup QB in 2007 regular season though.

Cowboys pass protection?

Did you watch the same games the rest of the NFL viewing audience did?

The Cowboys have a problem with the O-Line especially after Parcells and Larry Allen could not find a way to put differences aside. Allen went to San Francisco and all of a sudden RB Frank Gore is a hot commodity at RB in the NFL... Amazing.

Romo did what Bledsoe couldnt do. Scramble away from defenders about to sack him.

Im not a Romo fan and had hoped Dallas would have acquired either Matt Leinert or Jay Cutler at best or even Vince Young for that matter in last years draft. Romo still has to prove himself beyond his partial season exceptional play that fizzled down the stretch a bit.

As far as who botched the snap for Martin grammatica at the end of the Cowboys season. Did you see the NFL's follow up on the footballs used for fieldgoals in that game? I'm not making excuses for Romo. Just stating fact of what the NFL reported. The ball given to the center for that field goal was ultra slick and slippery beyond most any football officials had ever examined.

The Cowboys should have handled their business though and not have to had relied on a field goal at the end of the game to win it.

By the way... The last play Roger Staubach made in the NFL was an interception too. Roger is still a great QB in NFL history. Looks good playing flag football with all the other NFL old timers though.

You missed taking a dig at Bill Parcells though. His very conservative mind manipulating coaching style produced the same basic record Chan Gailey did in Dallas and Chan cost the Cowboys a whole lot less to get that record.

Cowboys have Mr 3 - 4 Defense as Head Coach/Defensive Coach and Tony Sporano as leader of the offense with whatever title they wind up giving him. Parcells isnt there anymore to put the breaks on the offensive play calling like he did to Sean Peyton and Tony Sporano over the past 4 years. Cowboys offense will be wide open next season. Just like the Saints offense under Sean Peyton was wide open this season. That's good news for Cowboys fans seeing as the Cowboys missed tieing the Colts offensive record by a couple of points in 2006.

Anti Cowboys fans better stock up on bottles of denial. The 2007 season starts soon enough and the Cowboys are gonna be opening up cans of whhop it up with Phillips defense and a real offense for a change.

I'm just saying...

You would have been better this year if Drew had
stayed playing. Won't even bother watching the
Cowboys next year.
