Maybe it was LeBron leaving, or maybe it was new team president Mike Holmgren's arrival, or maybe it was just a case of Browns fever... Day 1 of training camp in Berea was a sell-out, standing-room only crowd! Here's the news of the day.

Why could we pick up someone who has had three knee surgeries before in the first place?

One official training camp session in the books and already there's an injury list! If a rookie misses a 'couple weeks', we all know that there is no time for him to catch up. So, this means Hardesty won't be ready for games 1 or more if he's needed. So when we questioned the wisdom of selecting a guy with a history of injuries, we were told the Browns braintrust had done their due diligence and there was no reason to be concerned. Can we start to worry now, coach??

This injured running back is getting 50 million dollars at 22 yrs old and is gonna sit out???? Time for new pay scales. With our values all screwed up in this country, we applaud and try to emulate the antics of these overgrown children. Oh, I feel so bad for the Shaq who must live on a paltry 1.8 million dollars a month! Oh sure, he's a great player, but for heaven's sake-1.8 million a month! That's 21.6 million dollars a year-to play a child's game!

I don' even want to get into the whole Terrell Owens thing with the Philadelphia Eagles, paying him 49 million dollars for 7 years. Sure it was in signing bonuses, but look at his antics on and off the field. All that money does is corrupt and allow these knuckleheads to do is act like buffoons. How many times do we hear about drug charges, rape charges, drunk driving charges, I guess it shows that money doesn't buy class. Maybe these yahoos should take some of their over inflated salaries and invest in a class at a finishing school.

I also understand the toll that travel and training can play on a person. But, c'mon! These guys don't even work all year. It just goes to show you, the less work you do, the more you get paid.

I'm sure the same swarm of 65 fans will be the only ones in the stadium last game of the season.
