Rob Lytle, an All-America running back at Michigan who scored a touchdown in the 1978 Super Bowl as a Denver Broncos rookie, died Saturday night of a heart attack at a hospital in his hometown of Fremont, Ohio.

I remember Rob Lytle. He was a very good football player on some very good teams. May his family find peace and comfort in some fashion during this time of sorrow.

Word has it that years after Lytle picked UM over OSU, to the chagrin of Coach Hayes, it was Coach Hayes who talked then Denver Broncos coach Dan Reeves ear off complimenting Lytle for about 40 minutes.
