Not to mention he's the only Jaguar player associated with All Pro Dads. .

How can you say it was a bad decision when he has not played for 2 seasons now? Thats like any of you going to work for 2 years and not doing a thing and getting paid for it. He is a great player, when he is playing. Hopefully Fred Taylor (another damn good player and im sure person), and Leftwich is next.

IM STILL HURT..............

I am hurt just as well as most of the others here, but what everyone needs to realize is that.... they aren't the coaching staff. The Jaguars put Darius on the hot seat last year "franchise" tag, and again this year, this has been coming for a while now, and he's been costing the team alot of money, along with the fact that he hasn't been producing as well as he could've been... Then again, he was an excellent run stopper, but on the other hand there was always a play every game where he is easily beat long, go look it up during any game that he has been in....

We'll miss you DD, hopefully you'll retire and become a DB coach for the jaggies :)

are you kidding me!!!!! What a big mistake!!! I wish D.D. the best. i hope this rookie proves himself

D.D. is a great player and someone our children can look up to. I think it is a shame that the Jags choose to disrespect our veteran players. You would think that they would learn from past mistakes. Reggie will probably be a great player but no one can take D.D.'s place.

Im upset too Kiki!!!!!!!

DD will get picked up somewhere else and make some history!

He will be missed.

To hell with the jaguars..... I wont be mad if Wayne wants to take them away from here.

You need to remember that football is a business. It may hurt that your favorite players are let go and yes DD is a great guy, but it is a business. DD will land on a better team w/ a better front office. As long as Mike Tice is in the mix in Jacksonville you will have a team of criminals that will only make headlines in the arrest report of the TU. Good luck this season J-ville looks like you'll get a damaged goods QB from Miami now.

It is to bad! It is the Jags loss. Good Luck to DD, will watch for news of signing with a loyal team with better stats.

As a close friend of a Jags player, he has told me that the Jags will only be a 500 team as long as Del Rio is coach. Maybe Weaver should get rid of Del Rio and keep Darius. Good luck DD!

This proves what a jerk Del Rio is. One of the best players on the team he lets go and keeps Leftwich who has proven over and over and over he is not a good quarterback. Get rid of Del Rio and Leftwich and we have a chance.

now maybe someone will pay him what he is worth!! They Jags management never did him justice for some reason, with the franchise tags instead of signing him

You fans are the most ignorant people I've ever had to read from. You are all the same people that got on the Garrard bandwagon and blamed the coaching staff front office, etc. It's nobody's fault that DD got hurt, if you remember back he did get fined for a 75,000 clothesline tackle the previous year ... showing how "nice" of a guy he is. And yes, it is a business, people come and go.

DD wasn't a good pass receiver anyways, he was ONLY a good run stopper, just look back i'm telling you that he got burned on so many occasions, as hard as it is to accept DD being such a good hitter, he sucks on pass D, which was the Jag's weakness........ so he's gone now, and we're going to be better now that we have the extra cap room... Just get over yourselves people, they're still the jaguars.

Another HUGE mistake! DD is a man of integrity with deep determination to the TEAM concept. He is an exemplary example of dedication to the youth of the community as well, and 100% class. For his efforts he is released, while we have a "quarterback" who has NONE of the above qualities, as in "I'm no bum, it's my team, I can play this game." We haven't seen it in four years. DD is a "BMW", our "alleged quarterback" is a Chevrolet Cavalier...with the recall notices for defects.

The Jags wonder why we never win Championships....We are the Chicago Cubs of the NFL. We begin to get a good team and begin to make progress, and "wham" the pull the rug out and get rid of top caliber athletes. I am a Cubs fan and I see it every year, and the Jags are following suit. So I am considering jumping ship....There are true teams out there that enjoy the support and probably not neglect their fans and players like the Jags. Best of luck, but with no safety....JAGS 0-16

This is why the jaguars can't make it any where, because they keep the sorry players and get rid of the good players....I mean i have to agree with SJC...we are willing to keep a player who gets hurt at the beginning of the season and sits out the whole season only to do it again.....I think Jack needs to be replaced and so does the quarterback....P.S I HOPE JONES-DREW TAKES TAYLOR BROKE DOWN ASS'S SPOT....TAYLOR NEEDS TO RETIRE AND LET JONES-DREW TAKE HIS SPOT....TAYLOR IS OLD AND WASHED UP..LET HIM GO.....

D.D Is one of the best players on the team releasing him for a rookie jeopardizes the whole season because he has more experiance.

Well, I just dont understand why they get rid of the player that do the job. They need to be worried about the quarter backs & wide receivers.
