Rush Bimbaugh is a cancer who should be arrested for inciting potential riots. The stupid rednecks and deplorable extreme right wingers who support him are part of what is wrong in the USA right now. We need to the middle Republicans and Democrats, not extreme right and left for good things to happen. These extremists are a diversion to the fact that corporate America through their lobbyists are running the country.

The weak RNC gives us their version of middle, with john mccain. You may not like Limbaugh, but Americans find ourselves surrounded by poor leadership from both parties, who are reported on by a complicit media. You can depend on Limbaugh to shed new light on many things that the politicians and the media keep from all of us. And it is laughable that the NFL would want to keep him from participating as part owner of any team, as the NFL has one of the highest concentrations of non-incarcerated felons in one place, with the possible exception of congress!

Goodell is exactly right, shock-jock media clowns like Limbaugh would be nothing but trouble for the NFL. I'm sure Howard Stern wouldn't be welcomed either. Another publicity stunt from this hate-mongering ass-clown. Now his right wing Christian coalition hate fans can complain how unfair it is.

Its just business....if Rush owns the team they lose their african american fans, their intelligent fans, and their fans with any sense of honor, and are just left with a handful of fearful, mentally soft, wingnuts....not a big enough percentage of the demographic to sell out the stadium or sell enough merchandise....

Not much of a role model to have a junkie gasbag owning an NFL team. Goodell is right to keep his distance from that stinking POS.

Looks like this topic has been hijacked by Limbaugh haters. I would bet that none of you has listened to him to any extent. If your political affilliation preclude an open mind, why not try tuning in to some of what you would call the "opposition" and listen carefully. After all, if I can stand rachel madcow and keith oberman twice a week, surely you could stand to do the opposite. It will at least give you some credibility.

So what if Louis Farrakhan was part of an ownership group trying to buy a team? I suppose he would be ok? This just isn't Rush trying to by a team by himself, he is part of a group.

Why if they let Rush be an owner, next thing you know they'll have players who are rapists, murderers, and animal abusers. We must do all we can to maintain the high moral standards of the NFL. Owners like Al Davis and Jerry Jones and Robert Irsay's kid are needed to keep the standards high and make sure that they don't make a mockery of the game.

I dont get it, you cant have a guy who made a questionable at best remark own a team but its ok to have a guy who went to jail for animal abuse and racketeering, another who was convicted of manslaughter and got a 30 day suspended sentence, one who shot himself and has already been told he can come back and a guy who got busted with an arsenal allowed to play and get paid handily. This doesnt include all the drug abusers, DUI convictions and countless domestic abuse charges against the players. You cant have it both ways, either you allow it or you dont, but you have to be consistant across the board.

I understand the distinction between an owner and an NFL broadcaster/analyst, but if the NFL is serious about distancing itself from polarizing figures, you would think they would have told NBC something about that idiot Keith Olbermann, host of NFL Sunday Night and the MSNBC "Countdown" pinhead with a penchant for spewing bile at everything not a leftist agenda item.

It sure shows who the haters are here when people are trying to stop someone from buying something just because they dont like his opinion.

first time I listened to Rush Limbaugh....back in the late 80's, he was talking about the Los Angeles Unified School teachers being on strike...and then he said "average professor in California makes 80 thousand dollars a year so what are the whining about?".....Get it? classic bait and switch...talking about L.A. unified strike...quotes university professor salaries....asks why L.A. unified teachers are complaining when they make that much....I still listen to him sometimes when I am driving and he constantly uses rhetorical tricks like that...that are transperant to anyone with any critical thinking skills .....but feed right into the prejudices of the ignorant portion of the American popluation. Also he never has real debate on his show....he has a bunch of people who agree with him and maybe once an hour he has someone who does not....and then he cuts him/her off and pokes fun....the funniest part (or saddest part) is that so many of you are so lacking in critical thinking ablility that you actually think he is the logical one.

I have listened to Rush many times and my head spins afterwards. He spews hatred of blacks or anyone that isn't a rich white conservative like he is. Anybody else remember who was the one spreading the song "Barack the Magic Negro"? Please Commissioner Goodell keep this man out of the NFL. And,if possible, allow a "minority" to own a team. I'm sure Rush will then say it will be because of "Affirmative Action".

You have to love the NFL's conduct policies; which are such a good idea in order to protect the "brand" and image. Dog abuser and killer: OK Involved in murders: OK Gang activities: OK Drug use: OK Beat your wife: OK Express and opinion: Well, this might not be good. After all, we need owners to set a proper example. Much like threatening and intimidating an official in another sport. Just like the Miami Dolphins owner- Serena Williams. After all, it's not like her profane filled rant was directed towards someone of another race. Oh, wait, the ref was Asian. I guess racism is only some racism is bad.

Otherwise you would know that Barack the Magic Negro was the title of a LA times article(3/19/07). Al Sharpton and Rev. Jackson were(at the time) throwing their weight behind Clinton, because they didn't feel Barack was black enough(same as the article) The song actually makes fun of Sharpton because he's upset white America will vote for Barack and not for him. So what else have you heard. I'd like to know the date. I'll wait. Or would you like to admit you don't listen and just read what others say about him.

Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton should be arrested for turning race-baiting into profiteering. Rush will rise to the occassion and be a gentleman. Just a little quote for you to digest: "There is a class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs-partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs." Booker T. Washington (1856-1915)
