You'd have to be a total moron to have Ricky Williams on your team and NOT give him the ball. I dont care what his baggage is. This isnt about anything other than trying to win a damn football game. Not teaching life lessons or setting some kind of an example. "You play to win the game...hello... you play to win the game."

I hope he is okay.
What bothers me when you read between the lines is the following statement:
"Pope, 25, a career backup and special teams stalwart until this season, has started five games"
What this really means to me is he's a backup and should not have been starting. Due to Shitzinga's tight-fist budget, Pope has been forced to start as so many other backups have.
At this point, it's insulting to one's intelligence. When you look around the league, it's Crystal Clear that the quality of our starters don't even compare to all of the legitimate teams out there.
The problem with this team is whenever they have position solidified, they never want to match anyone's salary, no matter who is the coach.
If all this dirtbag owner wants to do is turn as nasty a profit as he can... Why support his cause?
While Jerry Jones and many other owners are just as much a fan as the team as any other Jo, Shitzinga could care less. Shitzinga cares about profits ONLY.
I'm starting to come around and really question why I follow this team. I must be an idiot who is slowly getting smarter.
Shutdown Seconday? Cut Mad and Sur!
4th Ranked Defense? Cut 5 guys from last year!
Gus go's 9-7? Get rid of him!
Harrington was the only guy to win a game last year? Get rid of him for cheaper Lemmons!
Atlanta can afford the highest payed player in the NFL (Mike Sick) and a more expnesive backup QB than we can??
Isn't it obvious profits are 1st and winning is a bonus?
If it's not, you really need to find a new hobby. If you finally see the light, maybe it's still time to find another hobby, or, at least another team. THe Shitzinga Dolphins have succked since he took over. Anytime they show signs of being a winner, we cut half the guys who got us there.
If this is always the case, WHY BOTHER?
Excellent post! And I'm glad you led with the health of Derrick Pope. Everything that starts to work for us vanishes!

Daily Horoscope for January 2

Taurus

It's important that you keep that famous bull-headedness in check over the next couple of weeks. Be cool, calm and sensible and you'll find that you end up with things correctly and tidily done. Stick to the straight and narrow, no matter what the distractions or irritations around you. If you think outside the square, you'll begin to see how visualisation can change and shape your life. Trust your hunches and be ready to move on them.
