Defensive ends Taylor, Roth leave the game with injuries

As if the injury-riddled Dolphins could afford to lose another starter, the defense played the majority of the second half of Sunday's 13-10 loss to Buffalo without its two starting defensive ends.

We used to use this same injury excuse with my high school football team when we were playing poorly. It didn't really matter if anyone was actually injured or not, we pretended that they were. It both worked as an excuse, and it got us sympathy at the same time.

I have two neighbors here in South Florida who actually BELIEVED all the Dolphins pre-season hype nonsense and bought season tickets. Now they can't even give the tickets away!

I predicted this too before the weekend. Watch t5he "injuries" mount as the season gets worse. Jason Taylor, big bad defensive lineman, is nothing but a coward.

Did anyone see Jason Allen's plays? He actually looked good out there, maybe there is some hope for him after all. Porter played much harder and it's tuff to see them lose after doing (mostly) everything right.
Biggest issue is having a person under center that IS NOT A QB!

Jason Taylor is near the end and wated his years playing for Wayne. Should have tried to escape in 2004. Now he thinks he is the chocolotte David Beckham.

I dont blame any of these players for throwing in the towel on this season. Too much to risk for a crappy team that's headed in the history book of shame. Anyways, let's start some younger players and see if they can get it done or not. Wouldn't this help in assessing pressing needs for next year's draft?

TURNING POINT IN THE GAME:

4th and 1.5 at the 50. Buffalo shows a 5 man front, then 6, then 7, then 8. Now I know Cleo is no Brady, Farve or Manning, but he should have at the least call a timeout as that was an automatic turnover on downs as Chatman was hit fo a 2 yard loss.

It would be to much to expect that he can't call an audible to a pass play. I know Cam Cam is making a ton of rookie mistakes but this is the NFL. I find it difficult to believe that they don't practice during the week and have the Defense test Lemon like that. That comes down to BAD COACHING plain and simple.

Come on now, how do you know Cam is not coaching this and it's all on Lemon's inexperience/insecurity? you don't...same with not going for long passes, you don't know what he called for and Lemon just checked off for the short gain...

I'm done with Lemon, he's a solid back-up, but that's it.

Yeah but, it seems thats all he i capable of, dumping them off. we have seen him for what? 4 or 5 games now, and not one big play. some of his TDs have been nice, like to GINN, and PEELLE, but Lemon is no big play maker. its time for BECK! LETS GO PHINS!!!

I agree, I'm just saying don't blame the play-calling for Lemon dumping off on 11 of 16 completions...he's got to get some cojone$ or get him out. I agree: let's see beck!
