I've been a diehard Chiefs fan since I was in third grade. I'm now 45 years old and for the first time ever I think maybe I should look at another team to root for. It isn't just the wins and losses that are making my decision but the poor Mgnt. and coaching that is making me so upset! We have cap money but choose not to use it for help?? Herm wanted to pick 5th?? Ticket prices are going up?? I guess Mgnt. and Herm really dont give a hoot about the fans and the misery they continue to put us through!

I too am an unlucky Super IV viewer at the age of 5 and fell in ove with the Chiefs and their red uniforms. Growing up in Central New York i could have been a Giants fan or even a Pats fan (same 5 hour drive). But no I'm still hanging on. I believe they may be headed in the right direction but as this year again proved who the heck knows which team is going to win it all. we all know the best thing about the Chiefs is their loyal fans. Arrowhead sells out when the team has a losing record. i've lived in Dallas for 20 years now and America's Team is the easiest ticket in the world to get especially after a lose. Go Chiefs Fans!(were all we got).

I am not a Herm Edwards fan, I don't like his brand of football, but I totally agree with him on this. Bite the bullit and don't do what we have been faced with the past 20 years. You get these old guys who can play for a couple or three years and they get you a winning record and keep the die hards in the stands, but you ain't going to win super bowls with that kind of attitude. And unless I missed something, that is what it's all about. Clark showed how little he knows about football when he stated he expected the Chiefs to contend for a playoff spot next year. How damned stupid can you get when you have three guys on defence and three on offence that play at that kind of level. Too many holes to fill and it will probably take two or three more years for the Chiefs to jell if they ever do. Get rid of Tony G. and give him a chance for a superbowl ring. He won't get one in KC.

I'm getting a little frustrated by the lack of commitment by the Chiefs with their fans.
Why not try to sign DeAngelo Hall, or Asante Samuel?? What about Faneca?? Why delay the signing of Jared Allen??
I could just imagine a Chiefs team with Samuel, Faneca, and with any luck, Jake Long. They would't win the superbowl but they might win 10 games. I'm not happy with the Chiefs right now, and I just envy the fans from other teams that would sign top free agents

Aaron, we can't win with Tony for the forseeable future. By the time the team is rebuilt he will be retired. Why not give a great player who has given so much to chief's football a chance to be on a superbowl team. I would suggest that we offer Dallas LJ and Tony for their two first round picks and maybe a third or forth round pick. With three first round picks and the other 6 or 7 picks we have in the draft we would have the nucleus of a super bowl team in 3 or 4 years. Everyone thinks that Dallas wants to move up for McFadden, but we would offer them an alternative which would probably put them in the superbowl this year. When you are 4 and 12 no player is untradable.

I like what Jim From KC says, Give Tony G a chance to win a SB he is awesome and deserves it. However I would die to see him in a non-red uniform. Sign Jared Allen Yesterday, and if we could get a couple good picks for LJ and Tony G, I say its stupid not too, were already playing for 2-3 years down the road at the earliest. I got season tickets for the first time this year (I know hard to believe for some) but its the first time i can afford them. But I see RED, win or lose. i think herm is taking this team in the right direction, even though its boring football, the flashy teams (dick and the flying circus) never go far in the playoff, except on occasion, hell look at the pats. Flashy as hell this season but 18-1 doesnt put a ring on your finger.

I like that idea for the most part. If got scott, drayton, and johnson. To go with 10 draft picks that would be great but i don't see that happening! I see possibley 1 maybe 2 of them 3 players in free agency, and prolly only 6 of the 10 draft picks even making the final 53 man roster!

what are you talking about? herm had no say in our fifth spot. it was decided by a coin flip between oakland and atlanta. who said that the ticket prices were raised? they dropped the prices.... it was announced like a month ago. of course....herm and carl could care less about winning...do you really think that? you have to be patient and look at the long term deal. we have signed big names in the past and that does nothing but create a spark to a fueless canon. we need gun powder. and the draft is the keg.

What about picking up a guy like Nate Washington of the Steelers. He's gota an ok size, 6'1 198, with some good speed. I think he is also a three or four year guy. Isn't that what this team is missing?

What does anyone know about Keith Traler who was released by the Dolphins? I remember when he was with the Chiefs and he was undersized and they gave up on him. He bulked up and became a run stuffer for Denver, I believe. Could he possibly be a backup that could go in on situations where they need to stop short yardage third down plays? Just thinking out loud. He may be available at a bargain basement price.

Did any of you guys notice who won the Super Bowl ? It was the Giants a team expected to do nothing. They had a few key veterains but mostly made up of young players they got from the draft. The Chiefs have ten picks this draft and if they trade down could have even more. With a healthy Larry Johnson back and a wise draft who knows.

I think the chiefs need to spend more time finding good scouts. This is the only way to ensure good draft picks. This is something thats been needed for years after failed DT picks. Ten picks mean nothing if you dont know how to shop. I also feel they need to go after one of the top OL to add with the 1st round pick and maybe this will begin to solidify that posistion. We also need a big time WR to add with Bowe, lets stop playing games and get a big name that will produce at that posistion.

i say trade larry the cancer johnson to miami for the first pick and get mcfaddin since their starting over young. plus for some extra picks and stock up. their going to sit back and let all the good freeagents go to denver and oakland. its a sad citiation to be a loyal chiefs fan. it really hurts, maybe someday..

I think the chiefs need a good QB. Who have we ever had and your going to but your hopes on Brodie come on guys get real. That is the direction the chiefs need to move towards. An offensive line wouldnt hurt.

First off jim from kc why would dallas even consider taking a tight end when they already have one that caught 90 passes last year. thats the last position they are worried about. second is that they would probably be a little afraid to pick up a 43 million dollar contract for a running back who missed nine games w/ a broken foot. third the chiefs will not trade larry because w/ him they were 4-3, w/out him they were 0-9. thats a pretty big difference. why would they trade a guy who carried their team. that would be like the cardinals trading pujols and carpenter for some rule 5 picks: not going to happen. tony will retire in kc, and larry will play until his contract is up or 1 year short of that and demand money. fourth it's offense and defense not offence and deffence. fifth just to let you know i have been a chiefs fan forever and im kind of dissapointed in all the fairwheather fans that hang around when everythings good and break their red and gold jerseys out, but when it gets cloudy all they can do is griped about management and trading players and tell everybody how they're going to switch teams. if you bail on the chiefs in hard times like these good because you werent a real chiefs fan. you werent red and gold through and through, and were better off w/out you. as for me I will still get out my 58 and 31 jerseys and wear them and get criticized and mocked, but I dont care thats what its all about, and win we start winning again and peyton retires there will be no room for you to get back on the bandwagon because I will be in your spot.

STAY TRUE TO YOUR TEAM. IT'LL PAY OFF.
