While the Vikes may decide to eventually have Harvin return punts, I want to take a moment and give Camarillo his props for the good job he has been doing. He has fielded every punt cleanly, and he decisively starts upfield. While he is probably not going to pop a return and score, I think he is going to make good decisions, catch the ball, and get from 5 to 15 yards on almost every return.

Good point. Please no more Berrian returning kicks.

Camarillo seemed very sure-handed, and that's a quality you need in a punt returner. On the other hand, maximizing Harvin's time with the football is a great strategy; he's obviously a talented player. It's all good! Skol Vikings.

Harvin is a beast and can break one each time he gets the ball. Imagine if he'd been healthy during camp. On the other hand, maybe the fresh legs will pay off late in the season?

Percy Harvin is one of the most exciting players to watch! Every time his number is on the field, I watch him to see just what explosive play he will come up with! Wondering if Childress will find a way to screw up this fine, outstanding football player...

ps. klink, you're on thin ice and i hear cracking.. i'm gonna throw a party when you're gone.

Yes, apparently the sleep apnea was causing or exacerbating the migraines, which he has been suffering for some years now. His doctors helped him sort this out, and now his quality of life is greatly improved...not to mention the longevity of his football career. Skol Vikings.

How about you compare Harvins first 58 punt returns to Hesters first 58 punt returns and see how that plays out. Hester has had a hundred plus since then that is affecting the statistics.

More quality reporting on how to make the stats look better than they are! We'll see how he looks in a couple of years.

Hester had 4 punt returns and 2 kick off returns in 2007 alone.

i for one would not like to see harvin handling punt returns, for the simple fact that the kickoff team is coming at him faster and with a shorter distance to do it in, which makes it more likely for harvin to sustain some type of injury, and this the vikings do not need at this point in time, and from an offesive view we need him in on more snaps from scrimmage than we do catching punts.

camarillo is doing just fine at punt returns!

skol vikings!

Post #1 is correct and so are you, Camarillo is doing fine, however, with the offense being so stagnant Harvin returning punts might not be a bad idea, at least until this O can get going which I think it will eventually.

Look at how Harvin's return energized that team and game, if that doesn't happen then how does the rest of the game go? When you have that kind of weapon and your offense is struggling I think you do all you can to manufacture points.
