The kid from Rutgers said he would use Devin Hester as his mentor. Now that is scary.

Rutgers' Kenny Britt said...

"I feel like I could go in there and see Devin Hester as my mentor," Britt said. "I would sharpen my game, just be an impact player."

do you really want him on your team?

ENOUGHT BS, you better get a damn qualified QB and stop wasting everyone's time and money. With economy in the shape it is do people spend money to go watch a bad movie, NO. So why would a person in their right mind spend top dollar to watch a professional team with a high school QB.

K. Warner does not play well in cold weather so forget about him, we don't need another Kordell Stewart sceniro to make it look like management is taking action. The season starts on draft day and if Angelo once again detaches his testicles before entering the draft room we will once again be SCREWED in Chicago.

The reciever info is interesting but here in Chi it doesn't matter how fast they run because we have no one to get any one eles the damn BALL. Watch Detroit management out us. How much time left for Virginia????

That Rutgers kid is clueless. Devin Hester needs a freaking mentor. Bears need Warner or Jeff Garcia. Draft WR then D-Line. Anyone else think Mike Brown needs a solid replacement? They guy is hurt so often, he really handcuffs the bears defensive least from a continuity standpoint

The Bears covet draft picks far to much to give up what it would take to jump into the top 5 to grab Crabtree, stop wasting the kids time talking to him and my time reading articles that are little more then a pipedream. there is a better chance they will trade down out of the first round since most of the difference makers on offense will be gone at 18. this way they could stock up on linemen in the 2nd /3rd rounds. with tait retiring and the poor play of the defensive line we all know the bears are gonna go into panic mode in these areas and we will have to wait a few more years for them to put an NFL offense on the field, but on the bright side the defense will be better and we can all fall asleep to more 10-7 games because the bears think this is what bears fans want to see
can anyone tell me why im still a bear fan?

Jerry, the Bears need talent on offense. Let me repeat- the Bears need talent on offense- O-lineman, Receiver, QB and a productive vet to compliment Forte. (so watch, he will draft another tight end). My only, yet very major concern, however, is the fact that you would be the person making the final decision on who to draft on offense. Based on your track record, that is very scary.

When it comes to receivers, i'd like to see the Bears concentrate more on a guy who has good hands and isn't afraid to catch a ball in traffic, moreso than just worry about their 40 times. You can be the fastest guy in the world; however, unless you've caught the ball, it don't mean a thing.

A DE with the 1st pick doesn't make alot of sense to me. The Bears have far more pressing needs in the DB, WR, OL positions. Really, other than a TE, i could see the team needing to fill about every other position with their 1st pick, other than a DE.

Sanchez and Stafford are too inaccurate to be considered. Freeman has a personality disorder; the silent type with thin skin isn't ideal for a QB. Nate Davis has terrible decision making and we've had enough of that around here. Hopefully the Bears can find someone else because the top 4 rated QBs blow.

Everywhere else (but TE and RB) the Bears need to get younger so expect the proverbial best player available to be selected with the first pick.

Crabtree has a broken foot. Takes a very long time to come back from that. Might spook teams since he won't be able to run the 40 for them. Could fall out of the top 10.

is this really analysis of the bears' window shopping for someone they have no chance of ever, ever, ever (times infinity) signing!? what a waste of make-believe ink. bring back rahula, he'd at least do some research and profile people a bit more likely to actually be ON the bears in the forseeable future. HORRIBLE. zell sucks

We need competent coaching, as the people we currently have do not pass muster.

Aside from that, we need practically an entirely new offense. We cannot rely merely on our tight ends and Forte. We need competent receivers, an eventual replacement for Kreutz, more OTs, another back to spell Forte, etc.

Actually,.. he has a stress fracture.

If you were a player that had something that you wanted to hide from the Scouts,... What would YOU do ???

You'd say that you had a STRESS FRACTURE IN YOUR FOOT !!!

That way you avoid showing your stuff at the Combine,.. while it's not considered career threatening !

He'll fall to #18 in the Draft as other GMs are too smart to fall for it.

Along comes Angelo ... thinking that he's "smarter" than everyone else ... and drafts Crabtree in the first round !!

Crabtree then becomes ANOTHER Angelo Bust ..... and .. the .. beat .. goes .. on !!

Well,... Well,... Well.

Crabtree has "decided" to participate in the Combine after all.

But, of course, the "stress fracture" story is "out there" already,..... So he'll have an excuse for not meeting expectations.

Boy,... I can almost see Angelo salivating !!

Crabtree and Williams will be able to share a locker .......... since neither will do much sweating on Sundays.
