I agree with everything except plan B. Buress will be doing some MANDATORY jail time if he is convicted of his current charges. Even if he makes a deal to get the charges reduced, your looking at 8 games, MINIMUM, suspension from the NFL.

Cutler's a beiotch. Why is everybody making such a big deal about a quarterback that has never proved anything. He sucked in denver and he'll suck with the bears.
Rest assured, no one will ever make a big deal about you, butt worm.

Two Words: Brian Urlacher. TRADE HIM....you would be able to get a first rounder (maybe) and def a couple of 2nd or 3rd rounders.
Urlacher won't bring anything higher than a 3rd round pick, probably 4th or later. He has no trade value so you keep him until he can't play anymore which is probably 1-2 yrs away.

Lance Briggs needs the opportunity to play middle linebacker too.
Briggs is a Will LB and most effective at that position. Putting him at the Mike is a dumb idea because you weaken two positions with one move.

Are you Bob Babich?

Marvin Harrison
My only problem with Harrison is that he played the bulk of his career on FieldTurf. Is he really going to want to play on green-painted dirt at Soldier in December?

Feel free to flame me to a crisp but, PUT FIELDTURF IN SOLDIER NOW! The old Astroturf was horrible and grass was the better option then, but now we have the option of FieldTurf and I haven't heard a single player complain. Big news flash to the Soldier Field Grounds Crew, YOU CAN'T GROW GRASS IN CHICAGO IN DECEMBER YOU DOLTS!

This quote is not exactly true. If Burress is willing to agree to a longer sentence his attorneys could plea-bargin f0or him to serve two off seasons in jail, based on his type of seasonal income limitations and with this being his first offense. If he's cooperative that could be a very realistic option (and he's never needed much prep time.)

BTW, I live in ARIZONA, not Denver. Sundays this fall I'll be watching football in the mornings, not afternoons.

Hello! Burress is looking at least being Suspended for 8-games by the NFL This Year!! Why would you be stupid enough to sign a troubled player. Who is Likely to do some jail time. a guy that is looking at a 8-game suspension by the NFL. He already turned down a 29 mil offer from the Giants? No Thanks, there is not nearly enough positives there to want Burress as a Bear,No Way!!! Bob Babich isnt even that Stupid. Maybe Torry Holt or Lance Moore,or we get a good receiver with our 2nd rd pick. There could be some available when teams do final cuts as well. The Bears know what we need,Angelo will find someone. Welcome Cutler!! Bear Down, the Bears Are Back!! Go Bears,2009 Division Champs!!

I love Boldin, but he could be more expense than we have to offer! Honestly I think Burress is BETTER and would come cheaper (although the character issues and possible suppression make him a bigger risk). My amended plan:

Two words: ANQUAN BOLDIN.
Perfect target for Cutler. Total TEAM player. He was the soul of the AZ Cardinals these last few years. Totally unselfish. He was promised a new contract prior to the start of last season and then Rod Graves backed out. Then ANQUAN was hit head on in the endzone and knocked out. Required 20 screws in his face. Came back to play great. Total warrior. A definite PLUS in the locker room. GET HIM QUICK before he's gone.

Getting Burress would be as bad of a move as Cutler and Pace was good.

How are you so sure Goodell will suspend Burress EIGHT games? Tank Johnson got 8 weeks (and possible "six" with good behavior) for having a virtual military arsonal at his house WHILE on probation for gun violations - and AFTER numerous warnings from Goodell about "one more time." In fact PacMan was given eight weeks after a YEAR of warnings about "one more AFTER a year suspension. How do you know so much about Goodell's decision - did you have Belichek's tape guy wire his office?

I doubt Boldin is going anywhere or he probably would already be gone. Lance Moore is an interesting scenario and should easily be worth a second round pick with Cutler tossing it to him. He certainly did fine with Brees.

Harrison is too old. Burress is the most talented but unfortunately is the most stupid. Holt would at least stabilize things but rumors persist that Lovie doesn't want him. Drafting a WR doesn't help you this year. Reggie Williams might be worth a roll of the dice with a real QB throwing it to him.

Decisions, decisions. I vote for Holt and if he wants too much money then sign Moore. Plan C is to pick up a few guys off the NFL scrap heap and run them through training camp to see if one of them can revive their career with Cutler.

No question, Angelo needs to go after Tory Holt. He's the only one on the scrap heap that makes sense at this point. However, I'd still trade Urlacher to AZ for Boldin straight up.

I know because I Know Football and I Pay-Attention so I can Learn. you should try it,you can learn alot. People that pay attention know Burress has already had several issues & has been suspended already. If a Player continues to get into trouble it goes to a 8 game Suspension, then it goes to the whole season! We need a receiver who will be on the field, not on the bench suspended for half the year. He seriously is looking at jail time as well. When a person continues to get into trouble,it is a pattern, who they are. This is not just a fluke incident for Burress,he continues to cause trouble. I dont want him on my Bears Team. As I said there is NOT enough upside to going after Burress. I will take Torry holt or Lance Moore for a 2nd rd pick,or possibly Robiskie in the draft with our 2nd rd pick. But please say NO TO BURRESS!!!! Go Bears,2009 division Champions!

Of course you would! But Arizona will not! The Cardinals will not trade Boldin for the Bears' "table scraps".
