Jay Cutler Reporting Laurence Holmes This is an important game for the Bears.A I won't go so far to say it's a 'must-win', but the difference between being 5-2 or 4-3 at the byeA is stark.A If you're 5-2, you take your break leading the division, with an off-week focus of improving in some areas and getting healthy.A At 4-3, the Bears will have ...

Christ Almighty, he didn't even have to!!

We don't seem to have ANY play to gain a measly 1 yard (another goal-line stand down the drain), Martz is an idiot & doesn't know how to use the talent he has, we don't have a legit No. 1 NFL wide receiver, etc.

And Smith doesn't know how to use the damn Red Flag either! This was an amazingly disappointing loss...

Buffalo Bills next? Conventional wisdom is that we will walk all over 'em, but they lit the Baltimore Ravens up but good in the first half! Later, NMR!

I think that Cutler is pretty comfortable with Knox. He was really trying to force him the ball. Maybe wJA should sign D'angelo Hall and try to convert him to a WR. He seems to know where Cutler is going with the ball.

HAH! Not hard, I guess Cutler stars down his receivers as bad as Wrecks did! Oh well, at least Cutler doesn't have hands the size of a raccoon's! No bobbled snaps yet.

I really like Knox, but wish we had picked up one of the big WR agents that were floating around. Who else do we have in the pile? I like Aromashadu & don't know why he's in the doghouse, he was a Cutler-favorite target at the end of last season. Rashied Davis? Ugh!

And, Hester was showing a bit of promise as WR last year (as Dimz pointed out to me), I don't think they are pursuing the investment they made in him in that role. I love the guy returning kicks, but now the NFL just kicks away from him. Maybe Hester should stay as a No. 1 WR? I don't hear that discussed much lately.

I know Chicago fans don't like dink & dunk, but passing to either C. Taylor or M. Forte seems to be a productive strategy, since they can add a lot of yards after the reception. It worked against Dallas!

*sigh* Bye week, thank God! Talk later, Otis

A veteran WR would have been a good addition for us. Just to help mentor the younger WRs would have been good.

The thing that Angelo hasn't figured out in about 3 years is he needs to build an offensive line. Instead of "converting" players , go sign the people you need! If you need a LG go sign a LG !!! Dont convert a young tackle to guard!!! Angelo is an idiot!!!

Yeah, case in point, picking Chris "Short-Arms" Williams instead of the guy you wanted, Jeff Otah!

How's THAT workin' out for ya, Angelo?

Maybe we need better scouts as well as upper management? That's my theory, anyway. I wonder if the scouts are married into the McCaskey family?

Thank God for a bye week is all I can say!

That was too damn funny!!!

I see Rex is in mid-season form..WTF is Shanahan thinking pulling McNabb and putting in Grossman? I heard his logic was that , "Rex runs the 2 minute drill better"....Really? How'd that work out for you Shanahan!!

HAW HAW HAW!! Right on the money!! That was Wrecksie's first play if I'm not mistaken!! I bet he was scared to death! I wonder if he got hurt?

Sorry, old habits die hard! I can't believe how Suh just pranced into the endzone, WTF? He was just playing footsie with the Lions defender, who could have taken him down if he really went for the legs!

Pro football, jeez!! Would Butkus have done that? I think DB would have tackled the guy even if he was in the end zone, and then bit him. Later, NMR!

I also see that they moved Collins back to the #2 Qb and Hanie to #3. This really bugs me because Collins was just awful and they have really not given Hanie a chance. Just see what the kid has. I dont think Collins is the short or long term answer for the Bears

Yeah, no shit! Collins was TERRIBLE! God, he was Jonathan Quinn awful!! It's hard to believe we didn't have a shot at somebody better. Some were talking up Bulger, but I hate seeing this team turn into the St. Louis Bears!!

I'm right with you on Hanie, he's been very patient and has some good skills. About all I saw from Collins was that maybe he can hand the ball off to a running back on each snap. Otherwise, yank the bum.

I heard that also and I almost puked in my truck(I was listening to the Score)If Cutler happens to go down again(god forbid) you might as well paint a bullseye on Collins chest and start to warm up Hanie. Collins is slower than a turtle, and cant hit the broad side of a barn when passing. At least Hanie has a decent set of wheels to get him out of trouble, though I have no idea how durable he would be with our O-Line.

the excuse was that collins was,and i quote, "Collins has been showing more zip and a quicker release in practice recently--"so they decided to replant him as #2.........

Rofl...does not matter what generation or which coaching staff...the bears simply have never, will never understand QB's
