Activate Earl Bennett before you get another WR.

OK here's the thing what good is it if the bears draft a great receiver when they don't have anyone to throw the ball to him just like bernard berrian we will never really see their true potential. Kyle can't throw the ball passed 15 without being really consistant. I have been a bears fan since the early 80's and I have yet to witness the bears with a, forget about a great QB, a really decent one at least. Mckaskeys I beg you please loosing up your wallets and go get Cutler he can help solve a lot of issues on your offense!!!!!!!!!!

Offense? This is getting more and more weird every day. This is just 2 days after I learn QB ratings go over 70.

"...an ideal complement to Devin Hester."

What is that supposed to mean? Hester hasn't proved anything yet, so how can he be complemented?

They need a possession receiver who can make plays across the middle (ala Tom Waddle), not a decoy. The deep ball threat won't be an option till they get the QB to throw 20+ yards on target.

whoa whoa whoa...#18 will be an OL...we'll wait to the 3rd round to pick up a WR, b/c it takes a year to understand the playbook...

Yeah him and Hass are the greatest recievers ever. Except nobody else wants them and they can't get off the practice squad on a team desperate for reciever help. Thats always a good sign.

If the don't Grab Britt in round 1 he is gone before they can round 2. 4.4 is flying for a guy his size.

get the best available talent at WR at no. 18. get a game breaker like Percy Harvin. Who cares if he's too much like Hester. You can use either one as tradebait later in the year. This team is not going to get any game breakers via trade or FA, so if you're going to draft an offensive player, draft someone who wants the ball and can score!!! They will never get anyone like him in free agency. Imagine Hester running the deep route and Harvin underneath as a possession receiver.

Hass is gone. Seattle scooped him up as fast as they could.

He's blazing fast for a guy of his size, but if he can't get separation from the DBs, which seems to be the concern, it's a waste of a pick. Rather see us draft an O-lineman in the first round 'cause right now, if anyone gets injured on our line, we're screwed big time.

A WR is a luxury. You can't win unless you can stop the run. You can't stop the run without a MLB who wants to stop the run. Draft an MLB, move Urlacher outside. Play Earl Bennett. Stop the run. Win football games.

I see this as possibly good news. If the Bears don't pick up a veteran OL and they decide to pick on eup in the first round, then this leaves someone to look forward to in the second. From what I've seen, this draft has a lot of talent at the WR position and less at the OL.

I'm personally hoping that they pick up a veteran OL (Pace) and safety (Roy Williams) and spend this draft focusing on WR, CB, and LB. But we'll see what happens. It's still early. And for you who think the Bears are going to do bad, don't watch them. It's just that simple. Why waste so much time and energy criticizing a team that you think will fail?

Good theory but I disagree with the plan. Urlacher is not chopped liver yet. Part of the reason he was ineffective was because our d-line wasn't getting in the back field and he constantly had to fight off o-lineman. If we can get the most out of our o-line this year, you'll see a better season out of Urlacher. But we do need to pick up a player that can play outside LB. Hillenmyer and Roach are okay but not good enough.

I also agree that we need to play Bennet and see what he can do. I'm actually hoping that we get a big play receiver and have Bennet play in the slot. Our receiving corps would be significantly better than it was last year.

GO BEARS!!! GET IT RIGHT AND PROVE THEM WRONG!!!
