Sign TJ up. Him and Hester would make a great duo.

If Angelo knew what was good for the team, he'd sign TJ. But he won't and the bears will probably won't do anything big on offense. No point in even reading up on this. Keep expectations low so you don't get disappointed.

I'd love to see Houshmandzadeh with the Bears. He would be a major upgrade. Hopefully they will sign him and Hester will make big progress for next year as well and we will have two legit NFL receivers.

yeah lets go get him! He likes Rex as the QB hello people we already ran him out of town didn't we? he knows Orton had a good rookie yr and came back fast so Rex didn't get into a groove to beat him out also, so were do we go from here? I say Brett is the starter next season, good old Chi-town guy

sounds like to me he doesnt like Orton to much, I mean he did say he knew every offnesive coord. and there quarterback, but didnt know a lot about old neck beard. No way he would sign in Chicago, not with a qb like orton at the helm

The Bears already have receivers that can catch a 20 yard pass. This guy is way too good and would be a waste without a QB that can throw the deep ball.

Unless...
"Hanie deep to Houshmandzadeh!"

Never going to happen.

No Chance he plays for the Bears. He is an over paid slot reciever as it is. Not to mention he is 32, these are the dog days for a reicever. Either way he is not a number 1. I do get a kick out of the fact that he knows Orton can't throw deep. Just read what he said about Rex and Hester.

Well...... a top receiver that saw the reality of Rex, and the truth of the matter. Rex NEVER got the same chance as Kyle. No protection passing, no running back like Forte, no chance to run the shotgun, no opportunity to audible, no chance to run the no huddle. At least he hit receivers "in stride" with the deep pass. Something Kyle has yet to do. Too many times I saw receivers slowing down or coming back for a deep pass because Kyle couldn't get it their. NO Kyle is not the answer, Rex was and is a better QB. I hope he comes back to burn the Bears, and rub it in BIG TIME with the Chicago sports media. Houshmandzadeh will not be a Bear because he showed his intelligence in the comments he made and knows.....what good is it to be a deep threat if you can't deliver the ball?

Billy are you serious...Rex never got the chance that Orton got? Rex had TOO MANY chances thats part of the reason why Warner wound up in Arizona. Problem with Rex is he's a mental midget. He played behind a better line than Orton did but Rex can't read a defense and get rid of the ball quick to beat a blitz. he had a really good Rb in Thomas Jones and he had Berrian and Moose but couldn't utilize Moose because he can't read a defense. As far as Rex having a good deep ball...He also had Berrian. Rex does throw a better deep ball but too often throws it into coverage and gets intercepted. Orton is a lot more accurate with no receivers. How else can you explain the higher completion percentage.

As far a TJ becoming a Bear...God I hope not...First of all it doesn't even sound like he wants to play for us. Secondly in Chicago he will be the man..If he doesn't have another receiver around like Ocho Cinco around TJ aint sh..

He knows plenty about the league, but he doesn't know much about Orton? I think he was just taught well by his mother: If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. He likes the deep ball, and he knows Rex can throw it but Orton can't.

Not sue if I want a guy who thinks Benson is a hard practice player betrayed by his line. Yikes!

Interesting that the Sun-Times guys heard the same interview and concluded the guy didn't want to play for the Bears.

People, neither Grossman nor Orton are THE GUY. Both have the same problem: not accurate enough. Forget the long ball, the short ball, etc. Joe Montana hardly had the biggest arm. Walsh said the main issue for a QB is accuracy. I've seen both miss too many open receivers.

Let's understand this about Grossman: his first three years were shortened by injuries. No sane GM gives up on a first rounder that started seven games in his first three years.

So he started all 16 games in '06 and the first three in '07. That's it. And that's when they pulled the plug. That's not forever, as some would have it.

As for Orton, he's had two years starting and he's just OK. Time to step up or step out of the way. I praise Angelo for stating the obvious: we are not sold on Kyle.
