Dude, I'm a diehard Saints fan, But even Ray Charles can see that a 30 year old runningback with 3 knee surgeries (both knees), 2 which were major surgeries in a time span of three years and 1 just six weeks ago is pretty much washed up and will be taking money that could be used on our defense. I love Deuce, But I love the Saints more, And I beleive the right direction for this team is to go younger, fresher and faster. Pierre Thomas is better than Deuce, and my loyalty is to whoever gives my team the best opportunity to win, and that's not Deuce at this point in his career. FACE IT ,ACCEPT IT AND MOVE FORWARD.

i HAVE NOTHING TO SAY HERE........YOUR RIGHT MOOKIE BUT I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY.......ONLY THIS, SOMEONE LIKE DEUCE SHOULD RETIRE A SAINT, WHEN IS THE LAST TIME A SAINTS PLAYER RETIRED A SAINT PLAYING HIS WHOLE CAREER WITH THIS TEAM. THEY COULD GAVE HIM LESS MONEY WITH A REDUCED ROLE FOR AT LEAST ONE OR TWO MORE YEARS SO HE COULD RETIRE WITH THIS TEAM, I WANT TO SEE NO.26 AT THE TOP OF THE DOME.

deuce was a great player for the saints.i agree wiyh u he should retire a saint.is reggie bush ready this year to give the saints every thing hes got without injury.this is a tuff franchise and they have become scarier and scarier.i think the saints will bring new orleans a superbowl with in the next 2yrs.and believe me thats hard to say as a giant fan.but if theres a team in the nfc that scares me its the saints.

I really wish that New Orleans would try to offload Reggie bush for some Draft Picks. We are in sore need of them. We should unload Reggie before his stock plummets too far. Pierre Thomas has MORE than proven himself. Add a Knowshon Moreno into the mix and we will have a one-two punch that would just demoralize def. lines all over the league. That is my opinion.

I feel you, But at the same time it is really rare for a player to retire from the team they got drafted with or played with most of there career, Because most teams usually want to go younger while a veteran player feels like there's still some left in the tank, As you can see by players like Marvin Harrison, T.O., Joey Galloway, and Joe Horn, Unfortunately, Deuce still wants to play 2 more years, Which he probably could have for the Saints, But in a much more reduced role, For a whole lot less pay, But he feels he could play a bigger role for another team, But as you can see from the interest for him in free agency, Teams are not in agreement with him. But look at it this way, Deuce may not have no choice but to retire a Saint or at least the Saints may be the only team he'll ever play for.

Dude, I said when the Saints drafted Reggie that his style of play won't translate to the NFL and it may take him 3 or 4 years to have a break out year. Although I must say , He is definitely a weapon, He just can't run between the tackles to well yet. Reggies instincts was to try to catch the corner and outrun linebackers which take some time to break out of. But would you REALLY trade a guy that is a threat to take it the distance every time he touches the ball ? Reggie opens up so much because you have to account for him where ever he is because he will torch your entire defense.

I have always been a Saints fan, more importantly I have always been Deuces' fan. He grew up with my youngest son and they played ball during the summer together. Yes he has had surgery...but on any day he is still better than Reggie Bush. I think the Saints unfairly let him go. I will never be a Saints fan again if this is how they appreciate their players who have given so much.. I hope they never win another game.

If that's how you feel then you never really was a saints fan, look, no one is more disappointed about the saints letting him go but to say i hope they never win another game is.........well, lets just say that a bit much....don't you think.

Dude , First of all, That Reggie Bush comment, I couldn't disagree with you more, Bush and Deuce are 2 different style of players, Deuce can't do what Bush does and Bush can't do what Deuce did. Listen, Players nowadays are prideful and most will never admit when it's over. Deuce was good, But after 3 major knee surgeries at 30+ years old, It's pretty much over, As you can see by the interest he's getting from other teams he won't start for anybody. I like Deuce as a person also and I would rather see him leave the game than to end up like Earl Campbell because he has pride. None of these guys wanna leave the game without a ring.
