DeShaun has tormented the Bucs for a couple of years now, and MIGHT be a good fit.(Emphaisis on the might, as with all RB's) I think the re-signing of Bennett is great insurance with the injury to Cadillac Williams. Painful as it is to say it as an FSU fan, I am really proud of the way Earnest Graham has blossomed with the Bucs. The situation should be a boost of confidence for all of the undersized RB's that are lacking the coveted "breakaway speed" that coaches dream about. I live in Ft. Myers FL, and they are VERY proud of the hometowner.(All the mention he got from Deion Sanders during the season didn't hurt.) I think this is the kind of runner the Bucs have been looking for. True Bucs fans appreciate the grind it out attitude and duribility of Graham.(Think James Wilder and Ricky Bell.) Watching him play for UF as an undersized RB, I can tell you he is the last player to come from UF that is a pleasant reminder of Emmitt Smith, and had a lot more success against the Noles I might add. Graham tormented the Noles, and is going to be the same grind it out player that Smith was. May not have the same numbers, considering the differences between those Cowboys offensive lines and the Bucs O-Line, but same heart and mental toughness. Very Surprised by the release of Greg "The Crane" Spires. One of the unheralded heros of the SB win. Expected the Carter cut, given our history of getting rid of DT's.(His natural position.) Hoping they can get Greg White in the fold before too long. If this guy is happy, he can be a monster. For those who do not follow the AFL, being a dominant force at DL in that league is a LOT harder than being a force in the NFL, as all the rules are geared towards big offense. Give Allen and Gruden credit for finding the diamond in the rough, with an assist to Jay Gruden for the referral. All in all, only one big surprise so far. Question is can the Bucs get DeAngelo Hall from the Falcons to shore up the loss of Brian Kelly, another player who is at the top of his game, but get's no press. Remember when we harped about Rhonde Barber being one of the best corners in the business, and no one listened? Now he is in the record books for the 20/20 deal, and is still the best corner blitzer in the NFL.
