Packers Swing Trade for Corner

With Will Blackmon , Pat Lee and Brandon Underwood battling injuries, the Packers reportedly have acquired cornerback Derrick Martin from the Baltimore Ravens.

Probably a good pickup, with the injuries to the DB's. 5'-10' seems kind of small though.

Martin is a backup not a stater, he switched to S in camp hoping to make the 53 becuz Ravens were loaded @ corners, good luck

Guess we will find out soon,who is out Craig lumpkin,DeShawn Wynn or Tyrel Sutton and just how many FB will they keep between Hall,Kuhn or the rookie Johnson.

Good trade. Good efforts from those guys, eric, but they aren't going to push us to a Super Bowl. We have more consistent players ahead them. Ruvell Martin does surprise me.

i liked Anthony Smith,Atari Bigby didnt show a lot.Smith is much faster and made alot more hits from what i saw.

You know what I think about TT's cuts and the trade? I hope all of the moves benefit the Packers and help to make them more competitive. With the injuries and players cut from the secondary, I suspect and hope that the trade was a very good move. A few preseason games is not enough to alleviate my concerns about the defense. I like that TT is trying to shore up the defense.

I thought Smith played well for us too (want to say that because I was not for bringing him in), but don't forget that Bigby is a Pro Bowl talent when healthy. Unfortunately Anthony Smith is not a special teams guy--a rep he got with the Steelers. I'm sure someone will grab him.
