Very Tall in the 1980's for the NFL, the Dallas Cowboys realized Ed was not "too tall", but with his incredible speed, strength and quick feet he was a force to be reckoned in playing the game with vigor. No one would call him "too tall" today as several big men like Dennis Roland and Omar Gaither play the game very well.
