It seems clear that Ward like Dixon more than Ben. He disses Ben and praises Dennis.

I trust Ward a lot. He and Troy are the true Steelers in recent years.

My newer jersey (bought in 2000) is # 86 (say, its' been 10 years now...should have a drink w/ it then!), and I've been giving respect to Ward for his performance, agility, and toughness since he was in kickoff team back in 1998. He could/ should be the role model inside the locker room!

I really hope they give Dixon a serious shot at this thing. I think they're going to--while keeping him on a short leash and having Leftwich ready in the wings. Ken Laird was on WTAE claiming that we know all we need to know about Dixon based on that one INT in the Ravens game, which of course is patently absurd. Dixon played a GREAT game, and it was exciting to have that Kordell dimension again (but without having to have Kordell!).

Wow,...it's way too fast to jump into conclusion about someone! I wish he were much bulkier though...

Why not? There's nothing wrong with having a QB who can run, as long he's not dumb as a stump when it comes to reading coverages. Dixon looks like he can throw and run.

Pipe cleaner man might just get in there a light it up. I hope he does. a friend at work is convinced the steelers will score big by trading ben after his 4 games are up. he said if a team is looking at 0-4 they may want to go for a trade....interesting line of thought.

There might be a board @ Heinz when Dixon steps in : "Tooth pick's in the house!!!" Let's hope for the best though...
