I don't think Hue Jackson got much of a chance as a head coach. I do think he's a good offensive coordinator and I'm sure somebody will take him.

I am not surprised that somebody is already interested in Hue Jackson. There was no reason to fire him after 1 season at 8-8. I believe it takes time for a coach to establish himeself and he had a good foundation to start from after what Tom Cable finally did. I hated to see Cable go too especially after he did what several before him had failed to do. There were things I liked better about Cable and there were things I liked better about Jackson...One thing that stood out to me about this last season was not seeing a losing record at any point. The Raiders had been on the right track and I can't help but wonder how good we would've done had we held onto Cable. Now Jackson wasn't given a fair chance and if we go back to the drawing board we'll just have to wait that much longer for a winning season and wonder "What IF?" (we had held onto Cable or Jackson). I know one thing, if we had held onto Cable, Gallery and Miller might still be Raiders.

Like somebody else said on another thread, "Reggie McKenzie will have to earn my respect with a winning record in 2012." I can't even bring myself to put on a Raider shirt this offseason

you know, jackson said he didn't have a power trip and that he wasn't trying to take over the organization and all that false stuff that was written about him. he did try to help the organization as much as he could. many said he had too much on his plate so you could see why they would write stuff about him. i mean, look, al davis passes away. who's left? hue jackson! i bet even mark davis was a little surprised and not exactly ready or,"nervous" to just all of the sudden "owner" al davis left jackson a lot of trust to run things on the field. he hires carson palmer without a GM present? AND STILL, no mark davis to make decisions other than to agree with hue jackson on the hiring and firing of players. remember there were a lot of injuries and hue had to make quick decisions. think mark davis had an idea on who to hire? think amy trask had an idea? they may have all sat down with hue and decided together as an org. but hue played a big hand! sure, why not? who else was around? mark davis probably says, i can't do this on my own? but my father wanted to hire a (GM) and i believe it was reggie mckenzie. so, he (mark davis)consults john madden, and john madden says yeah, thats who your father was going to interview. m davis half-ass interviews reggie mckenzie and says okay your the man. you will be our new GM! meckenzie say's hurray! but i want my own coaches? mark says okay you're in control and there went hue jackson out the door! and the media continues to have a field day with? HUE JACKSON WANTED FULL CONTROL OF THE RAIDERS" hue was a cool coach that just wanted the best for this org. he lived for the RAIDERS! he had heart and soul for the RAIDERS. he would have died for the RAIDERS! mckenzie could have said, okay, show me. but NOOOOOOOO! reggie said he wanted his own coaches and thats where we're at. which is fair?
all i can say is, reggie,
good luck,
we're all counting on you!
SO, lets sit back and enjoy the "REGGIE MCKENZIE SHOW"
