Raiders WR situation in flux
Derek Hagan and Denarius Moore managed to crack the Raiders 53-man roster last season based on strong showings in training camp and exhibition games.

I sort of disagree with cork on this one. I am fairly comfortable with our WR's. Sure a veteran like Jackson would be a nice addition. But moore and ford had partial seasons wirh palmer. Given a training camp and time to gel, I see no reason they can't all have moderate improvements...which is all they would need to have to be nightmares for defensive coirdinators. Also this would take a little burden off mcinjury. Then he might get his real name back. Either way wr is least of my concern.

"However, it can be done, as long as Jackson is willing to take more money in latter years, beginning in 2013."
Which VGreedy wont be willing to do at age 29...

im comfortable with our (wr's) as well, but i gotta tell ya, ford gets injured again for that long and im gonna start thinking he may be a little injury prone like schilens. but it's hard to say, it seems like everyone was injured last season. all we needed was for most of the team to have been healthy at the same time so that we could have made the playoffs. it is what it is, but it looks like everyone has recovered. word is they would check and investigate the practice field of the oakland facility cause of all the injury the players had on that field.

They should be fine for 2012 with a proper conditioning off season...none of that we have 4 weeks to get ready BS...

Me too. Our WR corp is fine. Jackson is a great, great receiver but there's no way we got the $$ for him. Besides, I worry about his personality & ego being a disruption to the team "in the locker room".
And besides that, bringing in another receiver means less playing time for somebody else and I think we should roll with Moore, Ford & DHB. They just now got a good QB to lead them and teach them--and Ford & Moore had injuries for a lot of games last season. They all need another season to see what they can do.
Housh needs to go.
Schilens....Hmm, I'm on the fence for this one. He's got great hands but......
Go get Hagan back....most bang for the buck I've seen in a long time.
