Were never gonna hear the end of it when BP doesnt pick Harvin in the first round. Two years ago it was Quinn. Last year Matt Ryan. This year the Percey lovers have already started coming out of the wood work. Man I hope someone picks him before its our turn, Cause you know BP & Co. aint wasting our first pick on him. We will be hearing it for the next 18months...GO PHINS!!!

Who cares, if they don't like the way BP runs things then let them go follow the Bucs or Jags. BP will NEVER draft a WR in the first round people, NEVER.

Wide receivers? Are u nuts?I`m not talkin wide receivers? The Dolphins are going to learn how to block and run the football! Ginn,Bess,Camarillo,London,Wil ford. Also Ricky,Ronnie,Cobbs and three tight ends can catch.Except for Wilford. Pick ou the offensive tackle that can Bench 225 lbs. 37 times.Sign Jason Brown at center. Wide Receivers? What are u nuts?

Kind of remember when the Fish had 3 players similar to Percy on the team at the same time--Duper, Clayton and Moore. Kind of remember how much more exciting the team was to watch in those days as well.

ONLY IN AMERICA They also had a guy named Dan Marino that kinda sorta helped the cause. But I am afraid the days of a 5'8" Wr are all but over.

Phins will not be drafting a WR in 1st round. There is too many question marks with the 1st round tier WR's.

Look for Phins to draft LB (which is exceptionally deep) or at DB (if one of the premier players slip).

Center position most likely will be addressed with 2nd rounder from Washington.

Maybe, just maybe. If there is a big'ol 6'3" WR that shows some kind of promise and still around in say the fifth round, then BP might take him...GO PHINS!!!

Maybe we can draft a QB that does'nt throw 4 int's in the most important game of the year!!!

OH-NO, not you again... First youre hating Parcells, now add Pennington. I give most of the credit for that dismal performance to the O-line. Thats whats getting fixed first... A big new center who doesnt get pushed aside so easily and some real depth at the guard positions. If youre in the market for a QB this year forget it. Pennington will start but expect to get some real looks at Henne this season. This is the year to find out if he is our future or to look elsewhere in 2010...GO PHINS!!!

Don't worry about Harvin being picked by the Fins. I read on scout.com he comes with attitude problems. And he hasn't even signed a NFL contract yet. Parcells left Dallas because of a player Jerry Jones signed against Parcells' wishes. The Cowboys miss Parcells, they just can't say so, because it's Jones that ran him off. Look at how that turned out.
Here's a better reason why the Fins won't draft a receiver in 1st. rd. Ginn was a 1st.rd. pick, Bess was undrafted. I like Bess alot more and he's the new kid on the block. They have more pressing needs than receiver right now. No need to worry folks.

What are you losers worring about?
Parcells will pick a lineman or linebacker in the first a cornhole back next then another lineman.
The rest of the draft is hopefuls for you losers cause after the distant 4th pick,no 5th or 6th SNoooooooZZZZZZE!
Pickin 25th you better hope you nail the first 3 and pickup a couple a major FA or it's gonna be an ugly year.
Real ugly~~`AAAAAAAAAAAAAGHT!

Harvin ran a slower 40 than Ginn; get Harvin off your minds. Michael Johnson out of Georgia Tech (DE/OLB) would be a GREAT R1#25 pick... if he's still available. I'm still hoping for CB Vontae Davis (probably off the board when we pick).

Such a great ... and timely article. I remain certain these statistics aren't lost on the Parcells administration, and is testament to why Parcells' history has been to never draft a WR early in the draft. The one time it was done to him, he QUIT ... if you can't pick the ingredients ... It has become the mainstay of the SE FL blogs to speculate on whether the Fins will take a WR at the 25 spot - what lunacy. Thankfully, you have brought statistical honesty to the process, and maybe, just maybe, the other media pundits can understand and move on. While it may not be sexy, we need to focus on who the top NT or C in the draft might be. Perhaps even ILB ... or dare I suggest ... OLB (or even athlete projected to move from too small DE to OLB in the NFL). But WR ... never even a possibility for a rational team (see Detroit).

Good article. I still see BP using 2 of the first 3 picks on O-line and a front 7 defensive player. Maybe, he'll use that second 2nd-round pick on a skill player, but with Ginn, Bess, Camarillo, the RBs and TEs Miami has, and the QB positions filled, I'm guessing WR isn't a high priority. Certainly there's no one worthy of being picked with the Dolphin's first rounder (e.g. Crabtree, Maclin) who will still be available at that point in the draft.

A good 40 time should not make a 1st rder IMO.Heyward Bey is a good WR when he is motivated. I live in MD and watched Heyward Bey every week and there were times where he just seemed to go through the motions. With his size and speed he should have taking over every game but he did not.I was sure he was going to have a great yr and be the best WR in the draft but he has butter fingers and you can not teach someone how to catch the ball, they have it or they dont and Heyward Bey dos'nt have it.He has the size the speed and is athletic but he misses the ball in the air and will not fight for it when it is in the air. He is a 2nd rd pick tops and someone will not be happy if they pick him in the 1st rd IMO and I am a big Maryland Terps fan.
