Bruised thumb and all, Tony Romo connected with Terrell Owens for an early touchdown, and Marion Barber ran for a score to help the Dallas Cowboys take a 20-10 lead over the Carolina Panthers in the fourth quarter Saturday night.
Romo capped a 13-play, 70-yard drive by throwing a quick sideline hitch to Owens, who shook off a tackle from Richard Marshall and trotted into the end zone with 1:30 left in the first period. It was Owens' team-record 15th touchdown catch of the season.
The Pro Bowl receiver left in the second quarter because of an injured left ankle. The team said he would miss the rest of the game. Read more
