Just give the ball to Rice he's a work horse.I would rather see Rice run the ball more than CRY BABY McGahee.

We need to get something out of Rice. The pick we used on him could have gotten us a WR or CB that we need more than a backup RB.

Kudos to Harbaugh for trying to change the mentality of this team. Ryan is a good "D" coach but is part to blame for the attitudes of people like C-Mac, T-Drizzle, etc. I think Harbaugh kept him to retain some form of continuity though I don't expect him to be back next year. I'd rather see us struggle and learn than to keep repeating the bad. There will be a big turnover in personnel next year, especially on the defensive side. It's time the warden took back control. Dyno Don you are the guy Ryan is talking about the arm chair GM who knows NOTHING. Take a look at the players around when Rice was picked. There were no sure fire WR and no CB worth wasting a pick on, Ray Rice was the best available athlete at that spot and he will make his mark before the season is thru. A WR takes 2-3 years to develop and a rookie CB not picked in the 1st round rarely makes a difference.

Seems like this would be a more constructive thread if posters commented on football, and what people write and say about football, rather than just insulting others who are doing their jobs to the best of their abilities. Rex Ryan's job is to win football games, not make you happy by filling your need for useless gossip.

As a Raider fan I would swap Rex for Ryan any day of the week. It will be interesting to see Flacco play for the first time. He was my choice for the best QB at the combine and cost you guys a lot less than JR did the Raiders.

Hey, Rex has finally got it right. Ask the writters what to do. Rex stated "You figure it out. You guys probably know the defense better than I do and what's best for us". With football experts like Mike and Dave who need men like Rex Ryan and the other coaches.

OK, Ryan, it's fine that defensive personnel are determined by certain packages and matches...but why, all of a sudden, does McAlister not figure in as much to the STARTING packages and matchups? He used to be involved in ALL packages and matchups. Are you denying that something has changed? You have no right getting frustrated with the question. The question will keep getting asked until you actually answer it.

Give Rice more playing time because he doesn't need a whole big enough to drive of truck through. He is the quickest and toughest back we have. He also catches the ball well. What we need is everyone on offense blocking on every play.

I'm sure Jerry Rosburg is only too happy to have someone other than Yamon returning punts. Special teams has been terrible this year except for Sam Sam the Punting Man. Yittle Yamon's tentative returns always seem to end with him either going fetal when defenders get near or fumbling. I don't know why people are calling for cleaning house on the defensive squad and even for Rex to be let go? This D continues to operate at the highest of levels and is still a cornerstone of the Ravens game. Dollars might force some decisions to be made, but cleaning house on D would be a mistake of epic proportions. I say clean house on special teams and at WR.

so let me get this straight steve (figures youd have the same name as mcnerror) the reason why mcalister was benched has nothing to do with football? funny how it ended up on espns 4pm football show, sports center and pro football talk if it didnt have anything to do with football. if rex ryans job is to win games he would have chris out there 100% of the time not frankie walker. he would have also came up with a game plan to stop the colts. funny isnt it how every other team so far this year has came up with a strategy to successfully stop them but rex, with the best defense at his hands cant seem to come up with a way. i cant wait until rex is with another team with half the talent we have. youll see its the defense that makes rex not vice verse- just like cincys head coach. the public continues to overrate coaches based on performance by their teams-i dont- i look at coaching moves (including time outs) made by them and getting full 100%individual as well as team effort from there players (not evident with so much talent with the ravens).

Has it ever occurred to you that Harbaugh and Ryan need to win to keep their jobs? Therefore, they need to field the lineup they believe gives them the best chance to do that?

For whatever reason C-Mac isn't in that mix right now. Maybe it's his knee. C-Mac isn't the first and won't be the last to lie about his health. Maybe his head isn't on straight. Do you know C=Mac? Have you spent time with him? Maybe something else is going on that is keeping his head elsewhere. Maybe he invested heavily in the stock market and is now broke. You and I don't know and frankly, it's the coaches job to sort it out. They beat Miami without C-Mac, and that makes them right, for now. If they lose to Oakland and Walker is burned for 2 TD's, then start asking for C-Mac. Until then why not talk about something that matters. This team has lots of other pressing issues.
