Bye, Ayanbadejo; Griese gone too

Full story: Chicago Tribune

As he strolled off the practice field one afternoon last season, Bears special teams coach Dave Toub was asked which players could fill Pro Bowler Brendon Ayanbadejo 's shoes.

The Bears sure are signing the players they need to be competetive.

Looks like more free time this fall on Sunday's, because the Bears are not going to win many games. The Bears will be 4-12.

WELL BUTLER LETS THINK ABOUT THIS, THEY SAY THEY WANT TEAM PLAYERS NOT GUYS PLAYING FOR THE MONEY ONLY! SO I THINK WHEN YOU HAVE GUYS THAT LOVE THE GAME YOU SHOULD WIN 90% OF YOUR GAMES, MAYBE 100%. BUT LOOK AT THE PAT'S THEY DIDN'T DO IT SO LETS JUST SEE WHAT HAPPENS WITH THESE GUYS AND THE NEWS ONES

Judging by management's actions so far, it's time to turn back the clock.
The games use to be so meaningless the tailgate was 90% of the fun and the game 10%. Fellow Bear fans, "my advice to you is to drink heavily".
Put on extra security (double it for the Packer game).

Hello 5 and 11! Can't you already hear the spin at midseason when they're 2 and 6 about how they just need to execute, and how they're a better team than their record, and blah, blah....

Kennedy is a five-year pro, but he's signed to an offer sheet? I always thought players with four or more years of service became unrestricted free agents after their contracts expired. Can anybody out there explain why the Bears get a chance to match this deal?(And they should, at that price.)

Way to keep your star players, Angelo. At least you're signing good free agents to take their place. Oh, wait, you're not doing that either. Let's see, a team that's 7-9, so why don't we let our best players go and not sign anyone to take their spot. Is that how a team gets better? At least the Bears will have a top five draft pick next year.

This is unbelievable!!! When will they actually start working on the offense. Keeping Grossman, Benson and the awful O-line??!! Are they insane??? Did they watch last year at all??? They are 30 million under the cap and have not even considered bringing anyone decent in. We need new owners now!!!!!This Bears team is set-up to possibly be the worst team in history. Everyone needs to just boycott the games!!!!

Should have kept Griese, he had better stats than Grossman. Then don't sign Grossman, and draft a QB this year, and let Orton start. Then let the drafted QB start in 2009. Special teamers are a dime a dozen, let him go. Draft all offense this year, 2 linemen, 2 receivers, and a running back.

The problem is you may have guys that love the game, but have very liitle talent. How do win 90% of the games w/out talent?

If this was baseball, the Bears would be fined and forced to resign these players because it appears that they are trying to dismantle a Super Bowl team of 2 years ago! What a bunch of idiots! Whose running this team?

It could be worse. We could still have Wannstedt as our coach.

Daily Horoscope for May 21

Leo

This is a great day for fixing things that have gone wrong. If there have been ructions in your relationship with a certain person this is when you can sort things out and get them back on track. If an appliance or gadget is going on the blink, this is your cue to either get it mended or chuck it out and replace it. You may also find time to tidy up your immediate surroundings or take all those bottles and papers to your nearest recycling center. How virtuous you'll feel when it's all done!
