Wrong. There's no way to know how long his career would have been, or even if the surgery would have been a success.

The Titans owe him the price of one busted knee, worst case.

Football players are overpaid.

Exactly. There is no way to know how long his career could have been. But since the Titans withheld important medical information from David Givens that directly related to his career ending injury then they should be liable for this injury. How do you not tell this man about this???? This is wrong, flat out wrong.
Just my opinion

they shouldn't have kept the information from him, but almost anyone who has knee problems knows it without having to have anyone else tell them. I know it when it is cold or rainy, or getting up from sitting or walking up and down stairs. Believe me NO ONE has to tell me that with all the knee pain that I have a problem. It probably is about the $$$$$, most lawsuit are

Pay him, they have Vince Young sitting on the bench drawing multi-millions in salary and not worth the ink it took to sign him.

I agree with you on this one. The guy had to know he had knee problems and he could do like Young sit the bench and draw a pay check. Why don't he use the college education he received?

I am sorry about the knee issue, however all these players do (and I like sports) is blow their money and expect taxpayers to keep them up. They make way too much as it is....when I have friends working theirself silly to survive, it is hard for me to process giving someone anywhere close to that amount of money for any reason. That is crazy

He's a grown man. I think someone would know if they had major knee problems. He just ignored it. Come on now...a little common since. He shouldn't get a dime.

Think folks,, these guys are use to pain, this is not me and you here, these are type flight athletes that are use to playing w/ pain. Its the pain game - football! He didn't hurt himself golfing or playing w/the dog out back!!
THAT's why you need a team doctor to tell you everything that's going on w/ your body, because they are use to playing w/pain, you need the doctor to do exactly what the Titans doctor did not do,,,TELL the man about the damn knee! Some of you fools talk about a knee injury you may have from being old and not geting exercise to a 26 yr. old trained pro athletes knee injury, completely 2 different things,,he was playing on the knee, in pain, for no telling how long,, because he can, he was a pro! Wake up.

I read a story a long time ago about a pro football player who later had to have his leg amputated at the knee. His team kept him pumped full of allowable pain meds so he could play and he had no idea the extent of his injury. Turned out he played with a fractured leg so long that it became infected. The team will put guys out there to play, play, play. I'm sure this guy knew he had a knee problem but trusted the team and team's doctor to tell him if it was so bad he couldn't play. The team is more about making money and will take their chances if they think they can get a few good plays out of an injured person.

This guy is an idiot for "not knowing he had a bad knee". Come on. You can't be serious. He is just another one looking for a free ride.
