Sorry to say this, but Charlie is not NFL Quarterback material. Start Dorsie or Anderson until next year sometime when Quinn is ready.

Charlie's bad play gave most of those points to the Steelers.

The Brown defense played an average NFL game. If the Steelers started from their 20 yard line, the Steelers were stopped..

So there is hope...

There are so many problems with this team, it would be impossible to describe them all in detail without overloading the internet.

But the most glaring of all is the absense of a quarterback.

Behind center, Charlie Frye hasn't the sense of the football itself.

I do not believe he threw the ball away once. It got to the point where he seemed to prefer being sacked than
giving up the ball to avoid it.

It's time for the Browns to face reality regarding our quarterback situation.

Frye is not the man. Anderson is not the man. And Quinn might just have to start playing sooner than later.

As for treating Ken Dorsey as an afterthought the entire preseason, this may also have been a huge mistake.
Playing quarterback in the NFL takes more brains than Fyre and Anderson have put together. Dorsey has the smarts. So does Quinn.

Frye and Anderson are losers.

Well, after all, this is a rebuilding year. There is always next season. Hey, did Crennel flip a coin to decide whether Andersen or Quinn would replace Fry yesterday?

The most troublesome event for me ,during a very troubled day for our Browns, was the 1st. drive of the 2nd.half for the Steelers. If ever a coach should be able to fire a team up at halftime to play hard ,it should have been that halftime--it wasn't. Crennel is a nice guy and I'm sure a very good position coach, but after watching that drive;I know that he isn't a head coach. Also,I'm tired of seeing our guys patting the Steelers on the top of the helmet after plays where they are getting killed. It reminds me of little kids giving their lunch money to the playground bully. One last thing---start Quinn, the whole team is waiting for that to happen;even the other 2 QUARTERBACKS.

I am so sick of the excuses you Brown's fans are making. C'mon! You have got to be kidding me! The Steelers walked all over you like it was nothing.

If excuses were horses, all the Browns' fans would be riding.

I love Stelers Fan comments like that...it reveals your true education. "WE" Browns fans don't play for the team. We don't work in the front office and we don't sign any paychecks. So nobody I know of got "walked all over." The team we root for lost again. We'll move on and lead our lives. I suggest you get one and quit living through your team's on-the-field abilities.

Dorsey is not even with the team anymore you idiot. That is the crap that other Browns fans spew from their mouths that make me even more embarrassed to be a Browns fan than already being one!!!

Why didn't you just say we should start Couch!!!

There are no excuses to be made. The outcome was obvious. I told you the Steelers would win. The QBs were terrible. Where was Brady? Not in the game for sure. Romeo Crennel has no idea how to be a head coach. He punished Brady Quinn for holding out and coming to camp late by not playing him yesterday. Big mistake !!!!
Romeo will be gone by bi-week. The Browns showed nothing positive yesterday. Oh well, just another season lost already.
Bill Cowher is waiting in the wings for next year if the Browns are willing to pay him the big bucks. I doubt they will. They would still be paying the previous fired coaches.
Wish the days of Paul Brown and Jim Brown would return. Browns fans can always dream of winning on Sunday afternoons by taking a nap.
Way to copy and paste you piece of trash!!! Move to Pittsburgh.

Face it, the Browns will never, ever be a contender. Therefore, quit pinning your hopes on it, quit supporting this dismal franchise, and start going OUTSIDE on Sundays and enjoying your lives.

For those of you stating that they should have played Quinn need to go check your rulebooks. Quinn is the 3rd string EMERGENCY quarter back on the depth charts. Both Frye and Anderson would have to go down with INJURY (which could have been faked)before Quinn would be allowed to play. It's obvious that they need to change the depth chart for this week, because Quinn is going to have to get in there sooner than later sad to say.

"The fans who keep showing up year after year, game after game, deserve that much."

Actually, the fans who keep showing up year after year are damn fools. When a team fails to produce a quality product in NINE YEARS of 'rebuilding', AND tickets still sell briskly? Pitiful. Just plain pitiful. Yes - it's 'nice' to be a true-blue fan, but keep supporting a loser and that's basically what you'll get - a loser. The team has some talent. It just has no discipline - never has since Romeo showed up. He benches players for legitimately holding out for trying to get their worth in compensation (the ONLY negotiating power they have BTW), and he does little to those making crucial mistakes on the field. Is there really any surprise this is a mistake-prone losing team?

hey hey hey...what can i say... most think that pro's shouldnt need a motivator, but having fat albert running the team obviously isnt doing the trick. this team has more talent on it than it showed sunday, and when you cant even decide which qb is going to lead you into war, how do you expect players to get motivated for their leader. every game has turning points and mistakes. if you believe in the guy that is running the show, you make some opportunities and get back into the game. when mistake after mistake is made by your qb the whole team eventually lets down. the key is for the coach to get a pulse above 60 bpm, and start quinn. i think these players believe he is going to be a good pro and overcome any rookie mastakes he may make along the way....period

The Browns are a horrible team and organization, only in Cleveland will you see a team that is being completly dominated finally score a touchdown late in the game, and you have some jack as* doing a touchdown dance like they just won the game, same thing happened at the blowout on Christmas, your team is being shutout, and one of the lineman gets a sack, and he's doing a super bowl dance. Just plain pathetic!

NEOH Beemer Rider is EXACTLY right. Anyone who keeps showing up year after year after tiring, pitiful year is indeed a damn fool. The Cleveland Brown organization should be avoided like the the plague until they show that they deserve some support. Until then, screw em. Again, go out on your Sundays and enjoy your lives instead of continuing to watch this pitiful excuse for an NFL football team.

To 5 World Championships - you are so right man!! Geez, what a bunch of dweebs are Brown's fans. They're so hard up for ANYTHING, anything at all that they'll do a touchdown dance when really the other team has already lowered their efforts. Pitiful indeed. Embarrasing.

The Browns fans were at the Stadium Sunday. What happened to the team? Where were they? The Squeeler fans were there, but not nearly as bad as usual.

How much longer do you expect to take a dump on a plate and expect us to eat it?

Memo to chubby coach: You had better figure out a way to get this team to play competative football. WE ARE GETTING REALLY TIRED OF YOUR LAME ASS EXCUSES!

Frye is getting singled out.
with the browns pitiful offensive live
Frye did the best eh could do. No QB behind that offensive line has anytime to do anything.
people are over looking the fact that the Steelers had a field day on our secondary and our punter is pathetic. Frye is not responsible for the Steelers putting 30+ points on us.

Again people, go OUTSIDE AND ENJOY YOUR LIVES ON SUNDAYS; SOON, YOU WILL BE OLD AND YOU'LL WISH YOU HAD MORE TIME!!! Forget the Browns, they don't deserve your support. I saw my dad hope every year on this team until he died disappointed. Don't do what he did. He told me that he wished he could have those Sunday afternoons back so he could be outside chopping firewood, or walking in the woods with his dog.

The Browns are an embarrassment, you would think for the kind of money that these "clowns" make, they should beable to win. They are really pathetic. If I were Brady Quinn I'd pack my stuff and run. Who wants to be a part of a losing team? The Browns are a losing team every year it seems. Where is Brian Sipe......that's when Cleveland was good.

Hey, there's always next MILLENIUM !

Is it true that Crennel needs to flip a coin whether or not he has to use the the bathroom?

'Cause that's what he's doing to the team!!

(Da Browns is too cheap for any REAL talent.)
