Savage recently said something to the effect that there are 35 legitimate NFL players on the team. Not from what I can see. And yes, I am not an NFL talent evaluator but I can see the results every Sunday.
Savage also stated that there is no Romeo Crennel watch in Berea. This, more than anything explains why the Browns continue to be embarrased week after week. Savage and Crennel are part of the problem.
It should not take over three years to put together a team that at least can be viewed as respectable and competitive. The Browns are neither and show no signs that they will ever be more than a disfunctional, perennial loser.

I'm trying, man I'm trying to be patient but that was just hard to take. I've backed the decision to let Quinn sit and watch, but what is watching Frye and Anderson's ineptness going to do for him. Its time to start Quinn. They've told the other guys they are only keeping his seat warm anyway and it shows. This is unacceptable!

Charlie Frye just doesn't have a clue once he gets to the line of scrimmage. He can't read defenses and seems lost out there. For a guy who studies as much film as he claims to in the offseason, I would expect better results from him.

these are the Clowns. the real Browns went to baltimore and they are not coming back. this is a sad organization and a sad excuse for football. the city should try to get their money back from the nfl. the city should change its name if necessary.

Well stated. Home game + division rival = devastating loss. Absolutely unacceptable. I can't hear anymore excuses. I don't know how much longer fans are going to follow this. Lerner needs to start refunding ticket money. He's taking our money but he doesn't deliver a real football team.

The Browns Owner needs to get a proven coach and give him Full Control. At this point Randy looks like a guy thats afraid to drop the hammer on a very unsucessful team in Romeo and Phil.I have been a browns fan for over forty years and I am at a loss to comprehend why these guys are still in Cleveland.

Savage and Crennel are part of the problem. According to someone from Sports Illustrated who made a comment last night on NBC during their NFL game that Savage was not happy (to say the least) about what he saw on the field and commissioned a meeting for 7am today (Monday) to discuss the future of the Browns in Berea.

all the media outlets keep harping on the punter as the reason the browns v. 2.0 lost this game. yeah, ok. go for the easy shot...it wasn't an inept offense, a pathetic defense or pisspoor coaching...it was a bad punt. *nod* the browns v. 2.0 suck. have a great season.

Crennel showed his usual lack of emotion and lack of passion. I will say the defense looked better. However asking them to play the entire game with a 3 and out offense is a lot to ask of any defense.
The offense was pathetic... more so this game than last year. Maybe Romeo was trying to keep the game plan a secret. Unfortunately he took it a little to far and didn't let the team know the plan. The entire offense looked lost.
I did notice Crennel talking into his headset, I'm assuming one of the conversations went something like this.... "Savage did you order the pizza.... Yeah just deliver it to the stadium... Yeah at half time, I don't think it would look good if it was delivered during the game... What do ya mean I have to cover the tip!!!!!"
Probably one of his other conversations was... "Hey Savage, isn't 0 and 16 just as good as 16 and 0... exactly, it's consistancy we're looking for... right?????... when I see different numbers in the win/loss column I get confused. By the way is the pizza here yet?"
Since Savage or the owners plan on keeping Crennel it's time for drastic measures... Bring in GUS(remember that Disney movie about the field goal kicking mule) It can't hurt!!!! The only concern would be Crennel would eat the mule.
Go Browns 0-16 under this Crennel/Savage regime

The loss raises some interesting and key questions to ponder?
When will Quinn start and get injured for the remainder of the season and part of next?
When will Crennel get fired only to be placed by a lame third-rate defensive secondary coach who turns out to be a big puss?
What future HOFer will Dallas draft using the first pick in the draft that was originally owned by Cleveland?
How soon will Jamal Lewis retire or get cut or conveniently break a leg?
How soon will a Charlie Frye pass bounce off the helmet of whoever the Center is and be intercepted for a touchdown?
What other unimaginable goofy plays will define the season and what name will we give it (tip: The Fumble has already been taken)?
Finally, how soon will we discover the Romeo Crennel was never a football coach at all but just happened to have had a good nights sleep in one of those hotels the night before?

What I find curious is the belief in Frye and Anderson despite the performances from last season. Quarterbacks changed hands like pocket change in the offseason and the Browns seemed content in Frye and Anderson. They have every reason to be looking over their shoulders at Quinn. Its just a shame the only veteran capable of grooming him was cut. Amazing.

Time to load up the moving vans in the dead of night and ask the NFL for a third chance.
By the way, I would help with the move.

It was easier being a Browns fan in 1998. At least then, there was hope. Professional game ?- CATCH the ball, THROW the ball, TACKLE the guy with ball on the other team, try to get the ball in the endzone of the opponent. Concepts to BUILD on ... for 8 years now.

Change the headline of this story. It SHOULD read:
"Excuses Getting Old For Fans."
Why is it fans continue to support this team is beyond me. Did anybody notice how many lower box seats were empty yesterday? The season ticket holders are ALREADY sending a message to the front office.
The next time the Browns leave town, I'll help them pack.

Didn't watch a minute of the game. Didn't miss a thing, did I? Training camp, new coordinators, new players, same old. Yawn. Team is just taking lumps through extremely difficult first part of season, then when it gels as much as it's going to Quinn begins his career in another write-off year. Too bad Michigan Wolverines aren't on the schedule!
