I am disappointed Daunte didn't work out for the Dolphins. He's still young and if his knee can be rehabilited, he can still be an all-pro caliber quarterback. Will his knee ever be the same again? Only time will tell... I hope he does well wherever he ends up. Is TG the future for the 'Fins? No, not in the long term. Can he lead the 'Fins to the play-offs this season? Probably not. Looks like another disappointing season. Hope we get some good draft picks to replace Thomas and Taylor.

Picking a starting qb is not an exact science, especially an injury prone qb . Drew Brees was awesome last year ,but never would have been half as good on the fins ;because you cannot throw a football correctly from your backside. And if marino put butts in the seats even though he never won jack. Just imagine him with last years defense !!!Dante still might someday be a great qb; someday either a backup, an arena bowl player ,or maybe somewhere else; but if you read his statement; he compares himself with the lunchpail gotta go to work so my kids dont starve crowd laUGHABLE UNLESS YOU BELIEVE which i doubt, he is that bad off ;only he made a huge mistake being his own agent. People who negotiate contracts were born to do that stuff they love it; like dante loves football ;and the people who offer contracts; like to see one of their own across the table ;makes all thier education seem not so wasted ! Not some jock who wants to save some bucks; what a fool for that decision' Anyway if its not a black and white thing how come every time a team gets mentioned to be a viable fit with dante.Almost exclusively are teams who have; or have had ;a quality successful blaCk qb ...Is it because the fan base will support a black qb i think so ' also no jimmy the greek type owners is also an ideal enviroment that has to take place to get a starting qb job in the nfl .The way i see it dante was a nice black guy to make us all forget about marino ;just like nick satan was gonna make us forget about shula. HAH LOL

i can't understand how a player who wanted to be released from a team who brought in their own starter, so he could find a new team could be labeled "disgruntled". chalk this up to the ongoing emptiness of the sports reporting world and the false labeling that takes place in sports journalism.

i hope everything works out for daunte. as a TRUE dolphins fan, i really appreciate that he tried to come back for this team, even though in hindsight he should have waited a bit longer. can't fault the man for trying to help the team.

i think this will turn out to be one of the worst mistakes we ever made, letting him go before we knew what we had, ranking right up there with keeping fiedler too long, wasting a precious pick on feeley, thinking joey harrington was anything more than, well, joey harrington, etc., etc.
