Making a career of sacks

Full story: South Florida Sun-Sentinel

Four days before last week's 34-24 victory, Green Bay coach Mike McCarthy sounded a lot like every other NFL coach who talks to South Florida reporters before playing the Dolphins.

I have been a Dolphin fan for 34 years and I have come to the conclusion that this team lacks character and the heart to be winners. This team does not play with the passion to win and I am talking about the entire roster with no exceptions. I cannot believe you would even talk about the Hall of Fame for Jason Taylor when this team is 1 and six and the future looks even dimmer than it did two years ago. This is a team of losers and until this entire roster is purged completley will always be losers. I had an oppurtunity to stay in the same hotel with the team in Cleveland when my entire family attended Dan's induction into the Hall of Fame and I told the players that I met that they should stop being baby's and go out and play with some emotion and play with some heart and maybe they would win. The players on this roster have no idea and will never have any clue how long the fans have suffered for this team.I hope that someone on this team reads this comment and maybe realizes and steps up and takes the blame for this horrible team.

Zack and Taylor are good men. I suppose they have two more great years ahead ahead of them. It is just to bad the other team gets more interception and fumbles. It is our offense, stop throwing interceptions. Coach you going to have to coach mistakes, what the heck we need a coach for if we didn't make mistakes. Get off that high horse and work Nick! Get cleo and vick inbefore the season is out. I want to see cleo lets get it done.

Who cares about Jason Taylor...you forgot to mention that he also crys like a baby after every loss. Jason Taylor is a loser and the Dolphins need to get rid of him!!!!!!! They never win with him on the team.

The hall of fame is for individual performance. Jason and Zach both have the potential to make the hall of fame. As for the "crying" after losing, that seems a genuine reaction for a competitor? The players I question are the ones who lose and go out smiling, hugging each other and dancing around like a loss is just another game.

Then again, it looks like most fans have lost interest. Many Dolphins blogs have a half dozen comments and several of those are fans commenting on terror threats, politics and tail gate recipes. In other words, very few fans care any more to even comment on the fish. The only reason I'm here is I'm bored waiting for kickoff for teams that still have a season in front of them.

J.T. is a remarkable talent, but on too many occasions i have seen him taken totally outta plays, specially at the end of games.
when he tires he seems to lose his fundamentals, alotta times getting stood up at the line.
its not his heart or drive that causes this, i believe its more of his lack of bulk and to an extent his conditioning and mayby even his age.

I believe because of the organization wanting to "win now" we have postponed real winning for years to come. When Saban was 1st hired, he stated that he wanted to build through the draft, but what has he done? Exactly what the Wanny admin did, trade draft picks for players that dont pan out. Maybe it's NOT saban, and more the presuure to "WIN NOW". Instead of being PATIENT for a year or 2 so we can rebuild, this prganization wanted to WIN NOW. Sorry, it isnt working, and it has Now put REAL winning even farter ahead in the future. What does this team need? A QB, a RB offencive linemen, Defence lines gettimng OLD. We need DEFENCIVE BACKS badly, HOw long now till we get all that and it clicks? 3 years? 4 maybe? HOw many Contenders are there that have QB's THEY drafted! Falcons with Vick. Pats with Brady. Bengals with Palmer. How many lately have won it with a traded QB? not many. Maybe if we as fans woulda payed off of the WIN NOW BS when Saban 1st took over, we might have something to look forward to, but now we dont. THANKS For making the fins a locsing Organization for years to come. GO FALCONS

It is my belief that you will see a big turnover at the end of this season . I belive the coach knows that you will not get the job done with the older guys that we have on the team.He has already started injecting youth in the defence,ie chaning crowder, jason allen played alittle last week, the problem is that no matter what the miami fans would be critial of any move the man makes, there are a bunch of better coaches all over south Florida ,and in living rooms every where that would have made better picks in the draft and brought in better talent at QB and gotten a hold of better DBs there is no doubt in my mind.Lets face the truth the miami fans are a bunch of piranahas that feast on short comings and flare up over everything and nothing and are over critical of every move when at the end of the day here is a man that is just working like you or me or your brother uncle or aunt sally. Listen to yourseleves we are in a rebuilding state teams are supposed to lose games when rebuilding and we are you cannot sack the whole team and start commpletely over you have to do it a spoonful at a time .I mean look how you all act when we lose with these players you all would have formed a linch mob and hung the coach if we where 0-6.Point is It's hard to be a coach for the dolphins because of the beating you take from the fans give the guy some time lets see where we end up after the draft this year and then re-evaluate the situation the best thing for us is to stay where we are at and get the first pick in the draft. I am a fan always have been and always will be I will let him have his time after all rome was not built in 1 day.

Daily Horoscope for May 20

Aries

As the Sun cruises into chatty Gemini, you are likely to get involved in a spirited discussion in which you can explain your beliefs and values to other people. Not only will this help you to clarify what you think, it will also give others a useful insight into what really matters to you. On a more mundane note, this is a good day to return something faulty to a shop because you'll be able to put your case well.
