I hope they sign him and Ted usually takes care of his own players.
NFL puts the Packers payroll at 138.5M which is 6th highest in the NFL and according to a prominent agent the Packers might not have enough cash to do it.If he is right, thats a problem.
Now, the Packers could release Ryan Grant as his injury is simular to Dorcey Levens and DL was never the same after his injury.
If the Packers were to sign CJ to a LT deal

The MJS mentioned the 30% rule, meaning the Packers will need a substantial amount of cash to sign him to keep him from being a FA adn they can not increase his base salary by more then 30% next year or the following years.
The article mentioned that, ive personally never heard of that rule.Has anyone heard of this rule or familiar with it?

Can't afford to sign players? Sounds like Mike Sherman all over again, except Sherman won more.

Of course it was a high profile Agent,so how much can we take out of that? Agents are supposed to know the ins and outs of neg. but how much would they know of money on hand for each team?
I do know Ted signed Woodson,Collins,Driver and has to sign Finley in the next year or 2,so i honestly dont know, but, the article made it sound like the 30% rule i mentioned above will make it harder, which i mentioned earlier i never heard of that rule,so is it a contract rule with the Players union/owners type thing,or an NFL rule or whatever, but the MJS has the article if you want to read it and im sure they are better at explaining the matter at hand then i am.
