Hang tough, Lions fan.

Your team is one of the anchors historically of the NFL. Remember the history of your storied franchise!!!!

I wish you the best and good luck tomorrow.

I don't want them avoiding infamy, I want them to go winless. Although I doubt it, maybe the shame of it will finally force some changes in how the organization is run. But as long as the Fords are in charge the Lions will be...well the Lions.

As long as the ford family owns this team, they will go NOWHERE. The NFL should diband this organization and make the Ford family pay back to the state of MIchigan all the money that was used to support the stupid dome and ford field over the years.

I was just going to say that the team should be disbanded....at least until the Fords give up ownership. But I like your idea even better.

I feel bad for Calvin Johnson and whoever their next "first" pick may be next year. Remember, last season, how close the Lions were to actually making it into the playoffs? Then the 4-0 pre-season this year? Just once I would like to say the Lions didn't totally screw it up.

I wonder how much longer Barry Sanders would've played if he weren't playing for the Lions. I miss him.

Looks like there is a remote possibility Marinelli may be back next season.

Would anyone out there still support the Lions if that happens?

That's the thing, being a life-long Lions fan, there have been so many ups and downs, and watching games can get pretty stressful. It's been nice being able to sit back for the last several weeks and actually enjoy a game, because honestly, who cares? Being a Lions fan is much like being a Cubs fan.... The day after a season ends, we all start saying "Wait til next year."

I am however, waiting for the new musical "An Exercise in Futility, the 2008 Lions" to open at the Fox Theatre. It is produced by Bill Ford, directed by Rod Marinelli, and stars the 2008 Detroit Lions. I would recommend this show to anyone, but would caution people against buying tickets for the Sunday Matinee, it is likely that most of the cast won't show up.

There you have it. If there wasn't so many "True Fans", maybe the stadium built with public funding would be empty and the Ford's would finally tire of ownership. But, as long as some of you still go to games and make it a profitable business, they will forever suck. 40 something years is proof enough.
