It is a shame this is public. What are you thinking of publishing this? Probably puerile hearsay taken out of context. Sad you cannot find anything better for the space taken.

I'm pretty sure all the NFL teams hold special meetings with all their rookie players to acclimate them to what they are about to face in the NFL. Young probably attended such meetings so he was prepared, but if you're gonna wimp out like a little girl because you got booed - well, that's another issue entirely.

Leaving his cell phone home and go grab some wings and a beer with his friend hardly constitutes the need to call out the police and media.

Maybe this was his way of getting some attention, I agree with one of the other posts that said his teammates won't respect him.

What strikes me about this article is why the therapist revealed anything Vince Young told him/her, in what is supposed to be a totally confidential settng! Even if Vince had said in therapy, that he had thought of suicide, colfidentiality rules do not allow the therapist to tell whoever calls about him, not even Jeff Fisher. Not even his Mother!
I realize that there are exeptions, if a patient is threatening the lives of others, for example, talks of walking inot a mall with a gun and shooting everyone he sees. I could be mistaken, and Suicide may fall under those same guidelnes, but I dont think that it does IMO, as long as he doesnt threaten to take others with him.
IS there anyone in that field reading this that can answer?

I was about to post something very similar to what you just said. I would think that Vince is well within his rights to sue. This confidential session that was leaked out to media, could also be viewed as defamation of character. This will no doubt effect his ability to recieve future endorsements.

Man this world is so predictable. I knew before I even entered this message board that I would see at least one white guy linking Vince Young's mental state to Hip Hop and that I would see a dozens of "know it alls" tell Vince to stop whining because he has the best medicine in the world, which in their eyes. is "money".
whatever
