I have no problem with this signing. I know a lot of people will say we overpaid, but so what? The Salery cap expanded and the Jets took advantage of it. Not to mention they have addressed nearly every need through FA so far and still have a good amount of money and a crap load of draft picks left over. The gained over 8 mil. in cap by trading D-rob. Im very happy the Jets are finally spending money in Free agency. something they never did in the past. You gotta if your a Jets fan be excited about next year

Jets MUST address their need for a QB in the Draft. I am not sold on Clemens in the least. This is a perfect opportunity to get a good QB in this draft. They can even trade Clemens for whatever draft value he may have. Or trade Pennington, he has better value and lets face it, he's not mobile enough nor has enough arm strength to take us very far. Stop spinning the wheels with him and lets get some picks for him.

good job fellas...u guys have been strong in the fa...theres rumors if the jets dont win games in 08 theres gonna b alot of pink slips handed out...makes sense b/c u guys r payin all this money to top notch players, addressin very important needs, but u have no winnin qb n no stud for wr...if u tend to pick up that qb in the draft it'll take u at least 2 to 3 years n thats pushin it, really pushin it, then all this money ur spending here, now will hurt u, really really hurt u, i project problems as soon as 2nd ur year...in other words, u guys r probably gonna have a winnin season, but a sb or coference championship run...not likely, n buy the time u get that qb its back to the drawing board with rebuilding b/c of cap casualties...sorry guys but these signings r definelty gonna hold u up even farther from a sb run...good signing though

Now that we have an offensive line I think Chad will be fine running the offense. Last year he had three seconds to get rid of the ball or he would running for his life. Look what happened to Brady in the SB when he didn't have time in the back field. He got hit and looked far from the hall of famer that he is.

A strong line help both the running and passing game.

Chad Pennington is still the QB that gives this team the chance to win. I cannot see them taking a QB early in the draft. They may take one with a later pick. With all the FA signings, the draft becomes that much more interesting. Now if McFadden is still available at 6, and that is a BIG if, do the Jets pull the trigger? Do they try to trade out of the spot? Does anyone think that Bill Parcells tries to trade out of the 1 pick? He LOVES to stockpile picks, and Miami needs a lot of help; however, with the amount of money it takes to sign a #1 overall, a lot of teams could shy away. But if Parcells DOES trade out of that spot, the draft could shake out VERY differently, depending on who gets up there, and who they take. All in all, I think the Jets have made some great moves. The Faneca signing is HUGE. He automatically improves the O Line, which I think in turn will improve the almost non existent running game from last season. Just my humble opinions.

Which would translate to an AVERAGE of 75 yds per game. Not great. Can you imagine how much better it could be with a beefed up O line?

Seems like alot of money for alot of question marks. This guy pace has one good year in 5 and he's getting 22 mil guaranteed. I'd like to know what other teams were the Jets competing against for Pace. Anyone know.

The first round pick is now becoming clearer - either one of the monster DE / sack machines or McFadden. Somebody really good is going to be available even if the Jets stay at their current pick. I can't believe the Jets are actually landing good players.

He had one good year so far, which was last year and they gave him this kind of money? Fools. And Woody is finished. He was even benched in Detroit last year.

lol...put it like this...dolphins were doing the same thing, paying big money for patch jobs, n it landed us at 1-15...we lucked up with parcells, which is the greatest coach when it comes to turning losing teams into sb contenders...u guys tied up over 70 million in gaureented money on jus 4 players...u guys really cant b excited...u'll b happy wit having wild card runs for the next 2 seasons then b dismanlted by cap casualties to drop back to a 4 n 12 of not worse...

Daily Horoscope for December 22

Aries

Financial muddles are more than likely today so be careful if you're going shopping. You might be accidentally short-changed or there could be a misunderstanding about how much something costs. This isn't a good day to lend friends anything valuable in case they don't return it or they damage it in some way. Better safe than sorry.
