I disagree wit the notion that the 1st game of the season is so big for D.A. I believe we'll win cuz I think we have a better team & I believe we can compete wit anybody, but to say the 1st game of the season cart get no bigger is crazy. Wuts gon happen if we lose? We just gon pack up & call the season a quits over 1 loss? Is D.A gon lose his job? Is the Reggie Mckenzie experiment over? No! The journey has just begun. We have the making of something special in Oakland. We have the best RB in the game. We have roster slots full of big play receivers. We have a QB thats built to take ier the game when necessary & well we have a better defense this year & leader to make it all work. I'm all in wit R.MCK & D.A. They haven't made any bad moves since taking over. We ready for a big year so while I believer we'll dominate S.D, this is no more then just 1 game. We don't get a 3 for 1 cuz D.A won his 1st game & broke this or that steal. It's just 1 game. We'll move on to the next 1 wit the pride of the last win. RAIDER NATION 2012-13

Jerry jones made the comment beating the Giants was a significant win...what an idiot. It's the firstgame of a sixteen game season. History has shown lots of teams have lost the first game and even the second game and still made the playoffs. The only reason this game is big for us is cause they are a division rival...but that means all division rival games are big.

That doesn't/shouldn't put anymore pressure. That's true in every headcoaching job in the nfl. If he can't handle playing a division rival, he doesn't need to coach. But i think he will be fine, the most pressure he is feeling is it's his first game as a headcoach. Like any job where you have to lead, you always put a certain amount of pressure on yourself. But he will be fine. I am not too concerned with a win or loss for the first game. Its a long season...

everybody's saying it's shanahan all over again! the problem with that was, al davis (rest in peace) said shanny was seeing orange when he fired him. boy did shanny pay us back for that and al davis shortchanged his a.s! get it? a.s? donkey? broncos? anyways,(lol). dennis allen seems to love his job and i think he feels the silver and black. but i think he won't start to really feel it until he gets some serious wins under his belt!

Do you think with free agency and the shortened leisurely training camps the chance for a team to go undefeated is pretty much out the window? I mean just about every team lays an egg in the first month of the season and last year the Pack was good most of the season but laid one against the imortal Kyle Orton & the decimated chiefs

I'm not a hater. Manning looked good lastnight. Pittsburgh problem was after they started out playing good defense, they started blitzing almost every play. U know the saying, u live by the gun u die by the bullet. U gotta give peyton mixed looks, zone, man zone, & a lil man to man. Bend both don't break. Mix in the blitz every now & then so he's not expecting it. He's gonna move the ball in between the 20s. Then u scheme inside the 20s. Man zones & zone blitz. Lesson learned!

as Raiders fans on no y'all not mad about that loss last night. it was a fluke situation that happened to a first time head coach. all and all they played a pretty good . Greg that needs to stop calling the scary ball security plays. palmer needs to stretch the field more. they need to stop giving mcfadden these drawl and miss directions plays and just run stretch plays. Tommy Kelly was about the only 1 that made bonehead plays on defense. rod Streeter made is a rookie mistake trying to do too much but he calmed down and played pretty well. Carson was efficient like I said he would be. it's the first game of a new era of excellence and everybody panic in like the playoffs are on the line. we have the Dolphins next week and from what I saw we are gonna steam roll miami. I do see 1 very eminent problem and that's right tackle khalif Barnes. The guy was in good position on almost every play but wouldn't put his hands on shaun phillips. Dennis Allen just got to call a more aggressive defense because we really was getting what we wanted last night . we stumbled but they gave me a reason to be optimistic. 1-1 Miami aint got a chance in the world. we gonna be all right raider Nation hold your heads up

The game wasn't that bad. We will learn from every game & get better wit every game. We have baltimore & the saints weeks 3 & 4. I didnt see no reason that we can't compete with either of them. The defense alone is a recipe for success. The special teams won't collapse every week.

You will compete allright.
Those pregame warmups will be decisively won by the Silver and Bleak.
Unfortunately you will lose everything after the opening kickoff
