I think that's great! I'm praying for all the youth to find somewhere good to go and stay off the streets. It's a good thing if only they take it. It's so said to hear of all the passing of these young men in the sport area. Then the young man who got hit just last night is Former Broncns Vance Johnson's son. It's just so sad!!!!!

Just because he grew up as a gang member when he was a kid doesn't mean he didn't deserve a chance to turn his life around. I talked to Darrent on occasion and he was one of the nicest people you would ever want to meet, always upbeat with a smile on his face.

What about the other Bronco who died this year,(his name escapes me, wouldn't you know it!), he was heavily involved with youth as well.
I think they should put both names on it. JMO

But will he ever have a headstone at his grave? Eh, Denver Broncos?

Where did his millions go? Why should the Broncos pay for his headstone? I'm curious why the family of a millionaire Bronco can't pay for his headstone.

Woody Paige of the Post started a fund with Rosalind Williams permission (Darrents mom) and raised over 15000 for the headstone which only cost 7000 the remainder will go to the center named in the story where Darrent spent a lot of his free time.
From the Denver Post site.
Although the official fund-raising effort for the gravestone has ended, checks to help fund the center may be sent to "The All Ready Fund," in care of The Denver Post, 101 W. Colfax Ave., Suite 600, Denver, CO, 80202. Contributions also can be made at all Key Bank locations.
