Hmmmmm dont we all make mistakes in life. It sounds like he was getting his life back together. You know all the past things were in the past he was find all he was really maturing . and to be quite honest in the beginning i thought the redskinds made a mistake drafting him . but we all make mistakes in life, thats why god mad erasers,Their is only one person that is perfect and that is god..so if you are perfect i guess you can so what u want but i know u r not perfect. so let it rest about his past. thanks . He had been in trouble with the law and the NFL - at one time spitting on an official. What kind of person with any decency would do this? Who, in their right mind, would keep a machete in their house, especially with little kids around. He must have been in more trouble with the law than the public knows about. The trouble with football players or any other kind of player, is that they are overpaid for what they do. I don't understand all the hype about Sean. He was only a football player. As usual, the news media had overdone the reporting. Last night one of the local Washington TV channels spent the first ten minutes talking about Sean. I hope that this is the end of it.

Chesapeake-Why even leave a comment at all?? You talk about the news channels spending so much time talking about him, so why did you waste yours writing about him??? Who cares what he did in the past. Who cares what he may have done last week?!? Fact remains, nobody deserves to die and even worse...the man was IN HIS OWN HOME!!!!!! He was a GREAT football player, not just any football player like you made it sound. Stop watching the news and stop checking the websites if you want it over with already. Better yet, dont watch any football on Sunday either.

SEan Taylor will be sadly missed by everyone. Not just Redskins fans, but by everyone who watched the hi-lights week after week and saw #21 come across the field and flatten an opponent. He also gave us Skins fans hope when the team was in need of an excellent safety. (And he didn't let us down). My prayers go out to his family and the Redskins Organization. RIP Sean #21

In my first class this morning, one of my students made a farewell card for Sean on the chalkboard. All the members of my class signed it and all the other classes signed it also!
Rest in Peace Sean, we will all miss you!

The moment of silence for Sean Taylor #21 this weekend is an honor but why not retire is jersey as well? With all his accomplishments and what he did for our team it just doesn't seem right for someone else to wear his #21. I don't think that his cleats are going to be that easy to fill. Rest in Peace Sean Taylor. You may be gone in body but never in our hearts.

The team and the NFL will miss Shawn Taylor. He was a changing person and athlete finally finding his legacy, which was to play football. Redskins fans in the Tampa Bay area share your memories of Shawn as a Miami player and Redskin standout. Let's move on and beat those Cowboys's............
