The article itself provided tepid backup for such a bold headline. Either tone down the headline or put a more positive spin in the body of the article. 3/4 of the piece is about how much of a problem the Eagles present for the Vikings. Very odd piece of sports journalism....

It will all be over today. This team has no QB or head coach and that combination is fatal in the playoffs.

Any playoff game will be tuff for the Vikes. They did a great job getting here but the big question for this team is the same; what kind of play will they get from their QB? I think it all comes down to the play of Jackson unless the Viking "D" just falls apart and if that happens than Jackson's play won't matter.....

yes, the vikings have a very good team overall, the best in years, EXCEPT in one position. QUARTERBACK! If the team would rally around gus frerotte, like when they were winning the most difficult games like carolina and chicago, new orleans, green bay, etc. when teams were really scrapping hard for their playoff lives , then this team might go all the way. but, there is not much chance of that with the kid with happy feet and a shaky gun, and blinders on. some players are trying so hard to carry this kid, that they can't focus on the real business of winning . sure, it was easy to beat a giant team or cardinal team ,or lion team with nothing to gain . but this is the real deal today. PLEASE PUT THE VETERAN IN AT QB BEFORE IT"S TOO LATE!!!!!!!

It all depends on which Vikings team shows up. If it is the penalty ridden, turn-over prone team,it will be a very long day. If not, the Super Bowl isn't an impossibility. GO VIKES!!

Hopefully Big Pat can get in there and clog up the middle. Our secondary and T-Jack will decide theo utcome of this game. The D needs to avoid giving up TD's and make the Eagles settle for FG's like they did to the Giants last week. Vikngs 21 - Eagles 20

Well I would love to see Frerottes experience in the game today, I think we have a better chance with Jackson's mobility. The key will be if Jackson can burn them occasionally when they blitz.

why not just let peterson take the snaps and let jackson block for him, because if it is a "happy feet" game, let the man with best feet play QB. peterson has just as much vision and experience. the vikings need some experience in reading a hostile defense. you cannot run the QB and win playoff games.

Man, I'd love to be optimistic about this game, but as we all know, the Vikings are schizo - you never know who's gonna show up. The Eagles obliterated the Cowboys, so I appreciate them for that, but dread the high probability that they will do the same today. The Vikes will be very hard pressed to win today with anything less than their "A" game, if indeed they have one. Four key things: AD holding the ball, TJ not freaking out, the pass D, and special teams. I think all four need to be solid or we won't win.

Look at it this way- after we beat the eagles, we'll have beaten everyone left in the NFC playoff bracket.

This game has a lot to do with Pat Williams, and Brian Robison. If Pat is able to play, and at a high level, and Robison plays better than last week, we should be fine on defense. Tarvaris is the key on offense. For him to all of a sudden understand, and react to blitzes well is a bit much to ask, so they better call a lot of quick stuff, screens, slants, maybe even the shovel pass to Chester when the eaglets blitz everyone. Philly will be playing to shut down the run, and then blitz the heck out of Tarvaris. Our offensive line needs to have a great game, and if we can establish the run, everything else will fall into place.
