Sanchez surpasses Tebow on day one

Sanchez outperformed Tim Tebow in yesterday's opening Jets practice, the starting quarterback showing the command of the offense that had coach Rex Ryan and offensive coordinator Tony Sparano saying Thursday that Sanchez knows the offense better than anyone on the team.

I want to see Teblow come in there and start a full on assault on the turf at the stadium. Just destroy it with incomplete passes

Did the Jets really think Timothy Tebow would really do something big in NJ? Were the Jets simply after popularity from Tebow or actually skill?
